I'm seeing more and more people getting transaction size limit while sending Monero. So what is the problem here ? Transaction size depend mostly on number of inputs and outputs, not amount.
I guess this is because of the amount to be broken down into smaller transactions, i.e. 123.4567 => 100 + 20 + 3 + 0.4 + 0.05 + 0.006 + 0.0007. I think this way will increase number of inputs enormously. If this is corrent, Monero need some serious improvements otherwise it will be struggle on getting more adoption, we can't tell user to send coins in even amount of something like 100 XMR instead of 100.123456789 XMR.
the problem are many small inputs (eg pool payouts) btw bitcoin has the same problem (just better pools) Would a workaround be to send infrequent transactions from a mining wallet to a second storage/transaction wallet? I am not currently a member of an exchange, but have started mining Monero and I'm keen to invest some fiat savings (GBP) too. Ideally, I'd buy from somewhere like coin-hub.co.uk but they don't sell Monero yet (I have sent a request). Can anyone suggest the easiest way to exchange GBP for XMR? Any help appreciated.

It is not a bitcoin clone coin and its "anonymity" or "privacy" or whatever you call it is real and doesnt rely on masternodes that can be hacked or can be owned by malicious people. Oh and it is opensource.

Why should I invest in this coin, what makes it better than other coins?
- It's based on Cryptonote, which you could say is the first significant innovation in the altcoins world. It allows us to have anonymous transactions, much better than the Darkcoin fad (which is just CoinJoin but badly implemented). - It uses the blockchain technology, but is not a Bitcoin copy/paste, it's a complete rewrite. - The dev team is very competent, they even started a partnership with I2P. - Lots of Bitcoin early adopters including myself loved it at first sight. That's no coincidence. - Gregory Maxwell, Bitcoin core dev and creator of CoinJoin, talked very well about the way ring signatures are used here. - Fair launch, no ninja-mine, etc.

Just don't. If you are not able to do your own research, you are not ready to invest.

Just don't. If you are not able to do your own research, you are not ready to invest. I do both, own research and also ask people in thread. Then compare.

quick question, what are the best CPUs to mine this coin? AMD/Intel? higher speed or more cores? how much memory is needed in a rig?
is there an article anywhere which describes rig requirements for Monero?

You can trade it and try to make a profit that way... exactly, nothing new here - just the usual pump and dump

monero.crypto-pool.fr
Our total hashrate increased by 9 times in 24 hours.
The pool is very stable thanks to recent improvement in the code. There is still a big margin for more hashrate.
We never found so much blocks, it is very impressive.
Thanks for your support !
Check my signature for tutorial.
I was checking the Stats of all Pools to get a better overview of the amount of Orphans produced each day. All Pools have an orphan rate of 1/4 to 1/5 of all Blocks minted. Only your pool has a much worse rate of 1/3 of all Blocks being orphaned. I dont know if there is a way to boost the connections of the daemon to the network. But you should look into this. Something seems not quite right.

Something seems not quite right. FUD or just wrong calculation... We updated the pool around the 1st of this month. On the 30 last confirmed block only 5 are orphaned. That is 16% of orphan while other pool have between 20 and 25 % We divided by 2 our orphan rate that was very high before. Every pool has it's own optimization. We used to be the worst, now we are the best. Anyway this is clear now.
