I believe in the CN technology and will invest money in all of its coins. But it seems better to not get involved with XMR until the situation with it stablizes.

I mean with all the price fluctuations after each of such trolling escapades one starts wondering if all of the other coins' algorithms but Monero's have BS-proof properties, along with ASIC-proof.

Hah! Can you believe this guy? Whatever the reason for trolls to love this coin so much and produce all the FUD, just ignore this bait and he'll get bored.

Also, one good way to make these guys shut up once and for all is to get rid of all the uncertainty and doubt by making certain the coin gets added to as much exchanges as possible. Look alive, guys! Only about 30 registered users gave their voice for Monero in our voting so far. That's not so much for a tread of this massive size. We don't want whomever owns this guy overtaking Monero do we? Let's push forward and get Monero integrated into Hitbtc as soon as possible!

Our exchange supports up to 1 000 000 operations per second and SEPA & Swift transactions. From Monero - straight to USD or EUR.

Hitbtc coin voting: prove you're not a bot!  Grin

Man, does one of your managers have a good stake in XMR? Why are you trying so hard?   Wink

Me too. I have never seen such a great technology as CN tech. I think it's right to invest in different coin in case one of them would be dumped.

Why is price dropping? What's next planned for Monero ?

Inflation dude.

More Monero is being mined than the market can support.  It's a problem that won't go away.

Actually it gets better in time.

I'm not a math wiz and don't claim to understand everything.

It's my understanding that XMR has a fast emission rate in the beginning but I think there were changes made that reduced the emission but I'm not entirely sure what happened regarding that.

I'm sure that someone involved with XMR will post shortly to answer your question with a more valid and authoritative response.

Look at the original thread - he has deleted more than 40 posts from people supporting Litecoin, he is a troll who pumps and dumps

The continued lifting of Monero to new heights in the voting list is inspirational!

To support your loyal community we decided to create an original and recognizable image. It needs a name, and it's up to you to come up with something suitably memorable for the guy! Grin
Monero is now in the top 10 and your active voting will most likely put it in the lead sooner or later.

Monero Missives

June 27th, 2014

Hello, and welcome to our fourth Monero Missive!

Major Updates

1. This week's Missive has been a little slow in coming because fluffypony has been en-route to Estonia to represent Monero at the Bitcoin Supernode Conference in Malla Castle. Thankfully, he has arrived safely, and the conference starts today (nickname'd and all). If you'd like to keep tabs on him over the next three days, he will be Tweeting as the conference progresses: http://twitter.com/fluffyponyza/

2. Just in case you weren't aware, XMR has been added to two exchanges: BTer and MintPal!

3. Work continues on the annotated CryptoNote whitepaper, the latest version of which can be found here: http://monero.cc/downloads/whitepaper_annotated.pdf. We have also begun a parallel analysis of the implementation of the concepts in the Monero code (most especially as it has been inherited from the reference implementation).

4. We caught a bug where restoring a deterministic wallet would not find old transactions. This was due to the assumption that is made by simplewallet that a newly "created" wallet will never have old transactions in it. This has been patched, and will be merged up to master and included in updated binaries from the beginning of next week.

5. We've been putting a lot of emphasis on making Monero a lot more stable and usable by pools, merchant systems, and exchanges. More details on our ongoing efforts in the dev diary below!

6. Transaction auto-splitting has been testing quite well, and is just about ready to be included in the main codebase (subsequent to a few minor changes on the RPC side).

Dev Diary

Miner: huge changes to add AES-NI support in slow_hash

Core: tx auto-split testing successful, auto-split RPC call needs to have payment ID support added before being merged into master

Core: major overhaul to the daemon is in progress in mikezackles' repo (https://github.com/mikezackles/bitmonero/tree/daemonize). Currently this is Linux / OS X only, and allows for the daemon to fork to the background properly (whilst still allowing daemon commands to be executed against it). Windows support by means of a Windows service will come later.

Core: along the same lines, simplewallet has been split out into simplewallet (CLI) and rpcwallet (stand-alone RPC daemon), ongoing work is on tewinget's branch (https://github.com/tewinget/bitmonero/tree/rpcwallet).

Until next week!

does the monero missives coming today ?

fluffypony said he was working on it a lot yesterday; he's travelling to meet rpietila atm, so forgive the late missive.

No no no we do not forgive! Dear developers! Look! You CAN be busy to post new missive. But you MUST post a message STICKY at all the places (bitcointalk, reddit, etc), that "missive is delayed due to the following reason - fluffypony meets rpietila atm to discuss Monero issues". If you guys are mature.

P.S.

As I can see, you have already posted such a massage here in the thread - and you did mention all the work you doing with repository/commit links.

But PLEASE! Make a short but STICKY message at all the resources (bitcointalk, reddit, etc).

If you are late - it is not a problem. If you forget to warn us about it - it is the problem.

You seem to like monero, why not just add it ?

Yes, we do like it very much and would be very glad to integrate XMR, but sadly there are other coins with more active communities that we have to consider first.

Hey a friend of mine tried to sign up but after typing email and pass and pressing the sign up button nothing happened....so he couldn't make an account. ..

Hey, that's strange, nobody reported that one on our official forum. Does anybody else actually have this issue?
Also, we only got about five more people who voted for Monero since yesterday. Can it be due to this problem? I find it hard to believe that community consists of 35 people in total.

So I think, the only issue is for Monero devs to work on bugs, work accurately and subsequently, like a fluffy pony Smiley

I said or lower. Monero has a few fundamental problems, but it's still (a distant) second best. According to Anonymint CN coins are DOA, but like I said, it's a hedge.

Hey guys, I'm curious, what are the most serious bugs have you noticed? And what do you think are Monero's fundamental problems?

Inflation dude.

More Monero is being mined than the market can support.  It's a problem that won't go away.

Yep, that's what I talked about yesterday. We should probably let the coin cool down a bit by investing into other CN coins, thus increasing the market for the technology, not a particular currency.
