Hi,

so far it's difficult to give a firm answer to any question. I'm supposed to test the new wallet tomorrow. Let's see how it turns out already...

Only a few minor things to fix, but globally it's ok.

Hi everyone,

so the long awaited 1.6 version is out!
What's new?

1) Built-in block explorer

2) Built-in IRC client

3) OpenSSL 1.0.1i

Windows download: http://jackpotcoin.info/download/windows_v160.zip

Mac coming soon

Regarding the high CPU resource consuming, we are aware that the issue may still be occurring on some machines. We hope to fix that in a future version.

During last months, as you may know, a new dev has come and tried to help. However, he's really busy with his job and his own coins. That situation is not ideal and although he agrees to help maintenance, he will not be bringing new features on a frequent basis. That's why I decided in agreement with him to find either a new dev, or at least someone to work in addition to him.

As for the coins promised to the new dev(s) previously by some people from our community, I'm going to handle this, so if you promised to make a donation, it's now! The dedicated address is:

Donations for the dev(s) JJZE8Wbe1YgBFPojXch56g6DRXaDS28qTn

Moreover, it is very likely that a new game will be supporting JPC soon.

As a final note, we are still contemplating the idea of changing the name for something else, something more mainstream (the name is already found, but kept secret since it's just a possibility at the moment). Since it's an important decision, we let the community express it's opinion in a poll (you have 2 months to vote from now on).

Thanks everyone for your support!

guys, thx for the new version, but it seems even more demanding than the 1.5.
it gives my 4 core CPU like 37% workload which peaks to 50% time to time.
that means it is using one thread/core on 100% permanently and second thread/core on 50% on average.
seems like the wallet is mining with one CPU even with the generate=0.
imho you should have fixed this before adding new features.

guys, thx for the new version, but it seems even more demanding than the 1.5.
it gives my 4 core CPU like 37% workload which peaks to 50% time to time.
that means it is using one thread/core on 100% permanently and second thread/core on 50% on average.
seems like the wallet is mining with one CPU even with the generate=0.
imho you should have fixed this before adding new features.

Confirm the same even with empty wallet.dat Sad

Same. The last wallet that worked properly was 1.4. I suggest that everyone use that. To the Dev team, this new release did not address the underlying issue that the qt is bloatware. Whatever changed in 1.5 from 1.4 remains in 1.6. Polishing up an old turd is still a turd no matter how shiny it is. Much disappointment.
