Oh and if you use your wallet to solo mine i highly advise using scantime : 1.. for the pool i am no so sure. (i am using 3 on the pool)

Strange, but with my config I get beter WU with default scantime (def. value 7).
With -s 3 I get WU ~1080/m, and with default - ~1220/m.
Edit: by the way, these results are for the pool.

lookup WU.. it's about luck if your miner is configured ok.
Work Utility has been discussed before LOTS just saying you should look it up Wink
Seems to me you don't fully grasp how it work eh..

but i have tuned my config by watching it (wu) closely and
as a matter of fact i paid more attention to that (wu) than my reported UI hash rate.
The pools hash rate is better guage i think than what my UI says..
I tune for quality not console ui hash apeed and i always tell people if they get 1 error drop their config and re-tune it.
more is not better with hash rates..

what i posted was what i could do best basically.., 2.2mh/s clean on my 7950
and since guys were posting slower speeds with 290's i think i did good right ?

Just seen this in sgminer ..never seen that before weird.

Quote
accepted..
network diff set to 17
New block detected on network before pool notification
stratum requested work restart

and ya what happens on jpcloudminer if the pot is won ?

The reward is set according to the value of block received.
This means that when the jackpot is found, the total value is spread among the miners mining that round and according to the submitted shares of each miner.

ok great thanks for the response sounds good  ..i assumed it would be like that Smiley

Yes, you did good Smiley And I did not bad too: with my 6770 1.3MH/s Smiley That's more than half of 7950/290 - so it's not bad Smiley.
In my case I decided to stay with default scan time for the pool. But I'll try your suggestion when mining solo.
Anyway, thanks for helping others.

I wanted to bring up the PREMINE

I noticed it as soon as i clicked on this ANN.. it's one of the first things i look for..

BUT i did not want to make a fuss about it too early and scare people away from this coin
And i also thought this guy / team or what ever deserved a chance to show they will use their premine properly.
Now that the popularity has gradually been picking up i think it's ok to mention it now ..the train is rolling Smiley

I don't approve of premines usually.. i think coin devs should just mine like the rest of us most times.
But considering for example there was more difficulty than normal for setting up pools and there was bounties for the first 3 pools (2 claimed now ?)
Then maybe the premine here is going to be one of those rare times where it is going to be used fairly ?
A premine ledger is always a good idea !
Why not make an official list of pay outs for what and to whom quickly to give people an idea how its being used ?

Also i can tell the premine according too the OP's specs lists 30 billion coins and 1% premine
so that is like 300 million coins pre-mined *supposedly ?

..

On another note, i wanted to ask the coin dev what other coins he has been involved in making etc
Is this your first coin ?
Knowing what dev made your coin is a an unbelievably important factor that should not be ignored.. ever !
and i really hope i don't have to explain why.. it should go with out saying.

anyway i wonder how much that premine is making stake wise ? lol
i have made very little on this coin Sad
If anyone wants to donate me some JPC coins you can send them here Wink JdPDpV9cLguK4vxgcfno8az4UWxXYrmcpv
I intend on doing some more work on all the miners shortly.. ALL of them Smiley
I only setup an nvidia card for testing it never makes me any money and my 1 radeon don't do much
and cpu mining and working on their miners is just for fun (largely a waste of time)
so making a faster miner for a guy doing 2.75mh/s total and then sharing with guys doing 70mh/s is not exactly helping myself lol

I'm new to a pos wallet, so forgive me if this is obvious, but my wallet stopped staking/minting (whatever it's called) it was doing so earlier and I have a few verified transactions from pos, but now my balance is entirely verified and there is nothing in staking. Is this because I am currently mining to the wallet?  Can you not mint while mining?

i have same and it's doing 490kh/s avg on my 4770k with 6 threads with my own optimized 64bit compile (stock cpu / no overclock)
did you compile for x86 ?

my older AMD Phenom X4 9950 "BE Edition" (OC'd a bit) is only 80kh/s using the miner OP posted with 4/4 threads used.
i need to make a compiled build for it but i've been busy Sad

edit:

here is a pic and it usually is a little more than 490kh/s using 6 of 8 threads but i have a LOT of crap running lol

also we should do up a set of optimized builds for the public too and share them Smiley

Once the stake coins have generated a PoS block, the stake requirement is reset for those coins and they will begin staking once they meet the minimum time frame again. If all the coins in the wallet do not meet the minimum time frame for the stake requirement (1 day for JPC), staking will only begin once at least some of the coins meet the stake requirement and you have sufficient stake weight to find a block staking.

ignoring me ? lol
no. you can easy take optimization from quark cpu miner and implement them for this coin. https://github.com/uncle-bob/quarkcoin-cpuminer
p.s. part of code from jackpot.c
Code:
//----
 unsigned int round;
    for (round = 0; round < 3; round++) {
        if (hash[0] & 0x01) {
          // sph_groestl512_init(&ctx_groestl);
         //  sph_groestl512 (&ctx_groestl, (&hash), 64);
         //  sph_groestl512_close(&ctx_groestl, (&hash));
            GRS_I;
            GRS_U;
            GRS_C;
        }
        else {
           //sph_skein512_init(&ctx_skein);
          // sph_skein512 (&ctx_skein, (&hash), 64);
          // sph_skein512_close(&ctx_skein, (&hash));
            DECL_SKN;
            SKN_I;
            SKN_U;
            SKN_C;
        }
        if (hash[0] & 0x01) {
          // sph_blake512_init(&ctx_blake);
         //  sph_blake512 (&ctx_blake, (&hash), 64);
          // sph_blake512_close(&ctx_blake, (&hash));
DECL_BLK;
BLK_I;
BLK_U;
BLK_C;
       }
        else {
          // sph_jh512_init(&ctx_jh);
          // sph_jh512 (&ctx_jh, (&hash), 64);
          // sph_jh512_close(&ctx_jh, (&hash));
