Wow, that difficulty now! I miss the time when I could solomine! But it's such a great coin, I don't want to mine something else.
i never got much anyway with one gpu running lol
so with pools now it doesn't make much difference to me..
and i like seeing peoples config for sgminer but i want to advise them try experimenting with 2 gpu threads instead of 1
i found that because of how the special hashing algo works you can max out the settings really hard on 1 thread and then simply double the threads..
and normally on every other coin that is a huge no go and will crash your miner on launch.. x11 algo and other misc ones sometimes are easier to hash sort of *kinda..
Juts try it and thank me later
i have been eagerly awaiting someone with more knowledge than me to show up and share some info on mining this coin but no go
seems i am the one putting the most advanced info out on it and i have no idea what i am doing.. BUT i have been looking into things..
such as..
Lookup gap i think does nothing because it is not defined or used in the Kernel.
Work size seems to be stuck at 256 and you can see the number listed in the bin file name as 256 no matter what you select in your config.
Lastly i want to say people should pay attention to their scan time.. every guy on earth smashing the pools with scan time of 1 may not be the smartest plan..
if you have kind of crappy latency or a slower miner etc etc you may be doing yourself more harm than good..
If your solo mining you can try 1 or say 4 and see the difference in shares.. it's obvious that 1 is good for solo mining with your wallet or daemon
but on a pool i am not sure every single one of us should be using setting of 1..
i would say try something between 1 and 8 maybe
seriously this is important for a miner guys !
That is the time limit you give your miner to hash.. if you only give your miner 1 full second before the miner will stop hashing and ask for more work
you may get more hash's done by say picking between 3 or 4 seconds..
the scan time setting is essentially a timer for how long to do work until the miner will
stop hashing and ask for more work
so think about it.. if you give it just a tiny bit more time to work you are prob going to get more hashing done AND as a bonus not flood the pool with fast requests.
This becomes more a factor too as times goes on and difficulty goes up i think on many coins..
