The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

i didn't give up on the cpu miner work either just tried an old optimized version for an AMD athlon x4 9950 but it was slower LOL point being is have always had some skill with compiler flags but i am trying to learn them all now and when i looked online about them (the link in tutorials everywhere) they mention lots ! and for some reason some work and some don't.. wtf ? lol i am on my own.. doesn't matter how many times i ask for help i hear crickets lol all the compiling tutorials say go here to get the compile flags.. http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/i386-and-x86-64-Options.html#i386-and-x86-64-Optionsi already knew a few that worked but i wanted more... so for example i just tried these two, fails = ./configure --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 CFLAGS="-march=haswell" dies on line 3390 in configure on compiling test.. works = ./configure --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 CFLAGS="-march=athlon64-sse3" this runs but is slow as hell.. way worse than me just using "-msse2 -O3" (80kh/s vs 240kh/s) also i noticed the strip command or using the alternative flag -s causes exe's to fail to load on my other PC but not on my main haswell cpu i am building on. that i suppose to strip the debug info i think.. lastly i used the MingW installer and have the following settings on a fresh install but i used also, mingw-w64-bin_i686-mingw_20111220.zip here is what gcc -c gets me.. $ gcc -v Using built-in specs. COLLECT_GCC=c:\mingw\bin\gcc.exe COLLECT_LTO_WRAPPER=c:/mingw/bin/../libexec/gcc/mingw32/4.8.1/lto-wrapper.exe Target: mingw32 Configured with: ../gcc-4.8.1/configure --prefix=/mingw --host=mingw32 --build=m ingw32 --without-pic --enable-shared --enable-static --with-gnu-ld --enable-lto --enable-libssp --disable-multilib --enable-languages=c,c++,fortran,objc,obj-c++ ,ada --disable-sjlj-exceptions --with-dwarf2 --disable-win32-registry --enable-l ibstdcxx-debug --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs --with-gmp=/usr/src/pkg/gm p-5.1.2-1-mingw32-src/bld --with-mpc=/usr/src/pkg/mpc-1.0.1-1-mingw32-src/bld -- with-mpfr= --with-system-zlib --with-gnu-as --enable-decimal-float=yes --enable- libgomp --enable-threads --with-libiconv-prefix=/mingw32 --with-libintl-prefix=/ mingw --disable-bootstrap LDFLAGS=-s CFLAGS=-D_USE_32BIT_TIME_T Thread model: win32 gcc version 4.8.1 (GCC)
trying to get it sorted out but it's taking time i used to know enough to compile for various older CPU's with MingW x64 but now i got a haswell and i need much newer flags etc. always gotta keep learning lol

Wey ! My wallet just reported some of my balance moved from "Balance' to "Stake", almost exactly 24 hours after I first populated my account. This coin seems to work as advertised

The icon is different (mined/received) and when you get interest, some coins go to "stake".

I follow this instruction : 1st go to "settings->options->displays", check the "coin control" option, then in "send" tab you can click on "inputs..." to select what coins you want to send. I usually select "list mode" and sort by "confirmations", you want to use low confirmation ones so you preserve the maximum possible your coin-age. Select the low confirmation ones to enough you want to send, then click on "OK", you are allowed to send only these coins. Not sure how reserve coins works exactly, it will make sure you have at least "reserved" ones not going to stake, so you can send them any time.

Jeez. I had no idea all that stuff was there. Thanks for posting. On the Mac it's JackpotCoin qt --> Preferences --> Display --> click the "Coin Control" checkbox. Of course, since coin age is priority you want to keep the oldest and spend the newest.

OK, here is another coin image proposal, this time with a full icon set for major operating systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OSX, iOS 6, iOS7, android & Windows phone). The graphic is recognizable and distinctive at all sizes, and it has good contrast on light or dark backgrounds. The full set is here. Just in case, my JPC wallet address is JRhV4K3cVSB2UkCavpi2ahPYVdVdQuT3tN 32x32 512x512 Not bad. May need some refinement, but we'll keep it as our potential winner if there's no better entry. Also, would you be able to create a consistent icon set for the wallet? Thank you for your consideration. Here was my thought process behind it. I created several other coin designs like dice, slot machines, etc., before I settled on this one. A close competitor for looking cool was a stamped style coin with an image of a pile of 0's and 1's (hash) and coins with a pickax stuck in it. But once I saw those ideas fleshed out they made the coin look like a gimmick to me, and if there is one thing I wanted to convey it is that this coin is a real gem--distinctly different from other coins and not just built for gamblers. It seems like a great algorithm. So I changed the starburst to a gem, and kept the poker chip imagery to convey value. On the other hand, it is not too "over the top" with the probability aspect of gambling. Miners will already understand the jackpot side, but people using it to buy stuff might not want to think of their exchange medium as a gamble. So this icon ties the coin to a symbol of value (a jeweled poker chip), but not the uncertain nature of random chance. I also can render this with a photorealistic gold surface with natural reflections from a studio, but once again, a more stylized treatment worked better for the smaller pixel size icons. I love how this image, with the half circle dark reflection and bright red center, is still recognizable at small sizes. If anything I might remove the letters forming the three stainless steel "JACKPOT"s around the coin and use a slogan of some sort, or just remove them without replacement. I think the red ruby starburst pattern (copied from your original logo) is perfect. I could work on an icon set for the wallet when I get off work later today. Most coins haven't gone to the trouble to put design elements into the wallet beyond what's in bitcoin-qt. Have you got an example of what style you like? I really want this coin to succeed, so I will go the extra mile to try to create something professional that is consistent with your vision. Could you try with various different environment maps please? The half circle dark reflection is not bad in itself, but I tend to like symmetry. As for the text, maybe keep the one above, and replace the other two by a slogan (just an idea, we may keep it like this, depending on the result). I don't have a specific wish for the style, as long as it fits with the coin. And it's better to find a definitive design about the coin first.

Isn't the contrast a bit stark with the black ? Looks like it got burnt.
