If i am not posting on this topic as much it's because i am spending all my time coding (should keep the coin cloners happy) lol
I'm still working on a CPU minder mod for this coin and it's coming along great i keep coming up with random new ideas too
also i occasionally see if i can mod ccminer for this coin and Nvidia compute 2.0 cards too but i am not a Cuda programmer unfortunately.
it's really a drag they dropped the Fermi arch.. they could still do some nice hashing on JPC.
i won't be dropping this coin or the miner because i have worked on my own CPU miner mods about a year now
and i have forked off my own mods so much i am getting tired of having 8 million folders of code for each miner i and other make lol
so my point is i will be trying to stick to one CPU miner with support all put into just that one miner..
So far it works for a few.. Quark, Scrypt, JHC etc
Next i will be adding X11 support to the cpu miner mod so what that means is any work i do on the miner will be for the JPC miner too.
Most of this Altcoin use two methods of implementing hashing algo's.. one is a bit faster generally and harder to work with and usually kills Visual Studio support
I have flipped back and forth between both and that is why i have had some many miner versions lol
SO.... i will be using the easier to work with code and i am making sure both MingW (GCC) and Visual Studio 2005+ is supported for building.
A lot of mods break doing one or the other so i think this is good to help attract new coders and many who be be used to using Visual Studio.
In case people didn't notice i took the OP's source code for the Jackpot coin cpu miner and i modded it first to add some color to the console logging
and then went on from there with other changes in it.. and i recently added a project file for building on Visual Studio that did not exist before..
It required editing a HUUUUUUUUGE amount of code and fixing thousands of god damn errors LOL
BUT i did it and it's literally flawless now and no warnings.. so i modded it to build on MingW and Visual Studio
I am assuming if it builds on MingW it will build on Linux ? I'd love to know if this is true or not ? I need to install Linux for testing.
i don't know what i was talking about now.. ramble rabmble blah blah bah lol
all i can say is this coin is fun and interesting compared to a lot of boring crappy clones whether your trading, mining or coding etc.
we just need more exchanges and MORE users involved (to get more exchange support)
Guys you name it he has a bounty for it.. like a new icon i think or a Gambling site.. go collect that JPC coin !
