Because they're sick of waiting for more volume and probably need the btc for trading or bills.  I've thought about it but I think I'm fine for a month or so.

Anyone have any idea why I don't get POS generation with JPC? I have coins that have been sitting in my wallet since at least 4 days ago, my wallet has been open basically 24 hours a day, and is unlocked.
I've typed getnostake into the debug window and it returns "false" (which I assume is correct).

I haven't gone to any drastic measures such as redownloading the blockchain (yet).

Yep, and the one earlier this week on Weds was found by HashHarder.

So the last 4 jackpots were found by...

• MiningpoolHub

• HashAtMe

• HashHarder

• HashAtMe

It would be easier to find info on it if blockexplorer had option of finding superblocks or just had a superblocks list...

+1 to this idea Smiley

It depends on how many coins you have and what coin age is.
I.e. my ~80000 JPC some of them are about 3 weeks old. And i'm getting stake sometimes once a week, and last 2 stakes where in 2 days.
Your coins amount and age are forming weight. If there are lots of people with higher weight, they get stake. When they got stake, coins needs to mature. Then you get a chance to get stake...
So if you are not getting any stake - that can mean you have too small amount, or your coins are very young. You need to wait more...it can take more than a week to get first stake with today's POS diff.

Dev: it would be great to have information on staking weight in QT. Is it possible?

The reason JPC price is so struggle is because that there were several hacking activities in Korean JackpotCoin community.

The first one was the big dump of almost 100M stolen coins a few days ago. This hacker stole not only JackPotCoin but also took almost USD $150,000 worth of DarkCoin, MaxCoin, DogeCoin, etc...  This case has been officially reported to the Korean police department specialized in internet crimes. He can not speak English very well, so I posted about his loss here instead of him.

But this was not the end of story.

One day later, about 6-7 desktop wallets were hacked and about total 60M JPC loss were reported.
Fortunately the hacker confessed this activity, and sent coins back to the owners a day later. However he argued the first attack ($150,000) was not done by him.
It was a really  movie-like  drama.

During this drama, a lot of investors of JPC got so scared and thought it might be JackPotCoin's internal bug.

However it turned out it was not a JackPotCoin's bug. It was a misconfigured  jackpotcoin.conf file and broken firewalls of hacked computers.

The hacker searched peer network nodes, and check the open RPC port.
Once he found the open port, he sent a RPC command to transfer coins.

So to prevent this kind of hacking, I suggest to disable the wallet's RPC server completely.
Most of normal users don't need this RPC api and it does not influence POS mining either.

Here is my suggested conf.

=====================
listen=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=100
addnode=90.155.222.162
addnode=66.176.62.63
addnode=93.233.79.195
addnode=98.193.2.154
addnode=5.250.177.28
addnode=24.13.164.246
addnode=74.90.54.187
addnode=76.168.111.3
addnode=110.255.149.5
addnode=85.102.226.187
addnode=46.39.240.53
addnode=154.20.19.46
addnode=186.59.181.76
addnode=74.33.230.204
addnode=107.202.133.56
addnode=75.150.145.65
========================

After changing your conf file, restart your wallet.
Set up a password, and unlock your wallet.
After at least 24 hours (maybe it takes up to few weeks), your wallet will start mining.
Make sure your wallet works like this,

After this, you can confirm your RPC server does not work by typing this on your web browser,
http://127.0.0.1:15372

You should see the connection failed like this image,

Now, your wallet is safe to any RPC attack even from your local computer.

However there may be  a lot of different hacking methods, so you need to make sure your computer's security regularly.

One of the import things, check if your computer have any open ports to internet by using this sites.

http://mxtoolbox.com/PortScan.aspx
http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/port-scan/

Don't use RDP, Team Viewer, VNC, HTTP and other popular web services on your wallet computer.

===============

I think once our community regain the confidence on JackPotCoin's security, the price will go up very soon.
So it is another really good timing to get the cheap JPCs now.

If one of the big guys is the block finder, with the current pool hashrate, about 0.65-0.8% of the 50% of the Jackpot, depending who the block finder was.
