Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick?

If I had to choice I still would go for Gold. Gold has been there for decades and already a reliable investment. Bitcoin is still too unpredictable. Maybe the potential of Bitcoin is much bigger but it's also still more risky.

Yes gold is very reliable investment but one can invest in bitcoin for quick profits but in small quantities. I put more money in gold than bitcoins.

I would also put more money in gold if I had money to invest. Gonna change jobs and gonna earn a much more so hopefully I got a lot to invest.

Investing in both gold and bitcoins is the best thing to do, as we don't know what is the future of bitcoins, but yes gold is ancient and used since thousands of years, so people have more faith in gold as compared to bitcoins, so it is better to invest in both.

It's a decision we can only make on the day we are planning to make a deal as buy or sell .Both of them are valuable assets and have high demand in the market.Also the rates are quite unstable in the market ,nothing is guaranteed ,no rates can be predicted as well. Its a tough decision to make !!

Yeah its a really very tough decision to make when it comes to investing in bitcoin or gold, as both are very much volatile in nature and doesn't guarantee anything, how about investing in both of them? 50/50 in both of them can prove to be a profitable financial decision I guess. But I have more faith in gold as compared to bitcoins.

BTC is good for making both short and long term like if any one trade btc then they can make good profits or just buy a keep for next few months or year to sell at high price but its prices are very volatile.

I too agree with your explanation on both bitcoin and gold. If any one playing for long term return then we can start accumulating gold now but BTC prices moves quite fast so I prefer to invest my money in btc to make profits faster but I will watch out on btc prices everyday to reduce my loses.

I would also bank on gold as it is substance and it's weight is undeniable.
Bitcoin does come in a close second because it is become more accessible than gold ever was to me.
Gold can be bought but you don't know what you are paying for because of impurities that can be found in gold does lessen it's value.

So if you want to choose gold as it is a substance  and its physical ,what about shares of the company ? They are as expensive as gold infact higher at times .My point is the financial value of an assest has nothing to do with it's physical properties, if the market goes down it will be worthless regardless of how heavy it is .

if bitcoin alive for whole my life, i would choose bitcoin over gold..
its because bitcoin can be earn and keep in wallet for long time, and the price its pretty amusing, i guess it wont goes down to $1 = 1btc.
but gold need money to buy it first.. so i would choose bitcoin

I think that when you broke out the financial crisis, gold will also be taking his because for him thousands of years of use in the financial system. And what about bitcoin still matters.

Currently gold has many more advantages; value, stability, authority etc. So yes now I will chose gold.

If bitcoin can make a statement, I will go for bitcoin obviously.

I like bitcoin since gold can be stolen if someone broke into your house. That would be more devastating then if I lost some bitcoin as that could be more easily recovered than a physical item would be.

Have a faith in bitcoin. This ever changing technology is going to keep it relevant for years to come and this evolving currency can only get better with time. With gold it is just for oil barons and Trump Tower owners to marvel at and show off in their castles.

ofcourse it'll happen if there's more than 50 million people using bitcoin, but gold still best for savings and investment

it'll be good idea if in the future bitcoin have a physical shape and made from gold

even 10% of the gold marketcap would put us in the 600B market cap which is x100 what it is now basically, this mean 30k+ in value

Why so much surprise? Gold is held and safely stored in so many caveaus both bank's and state's ones. We still can't compare something that was born yesterday (BTC) with something born ages ago (AU).
I'm sure BTC is the electronic gold but we have a long way to the top guys!
