im trying to be honest, i would choose the gold compared to bitcoin, but making physical bitcoin from a gold aren't a bad idea
Very interesting idea. First time I read this and I like it. The problem is who have the power to do this. Bitcoin has no owner which can care about this thing. So, even it is very interesting, it is unfeasible. Merge bitcoin with gold would be a very explosive mixture. It's a sin that cannot be made. But who knows. If bitcoin will be regulated in most of the countries may take form such thing.... There is the possibility of the management of bitcoin by a World Centralized Financial Authority. |

Custom made gold physical bitcoins cost a large premium over the gold price although Casascius coins have made a nice return. A better option is to keep bitcoin digital and gold physical and get low premium gold (you'll end up with a lot more gold for your money) |

The gold market cap is much more larger than bitcoin.
So i think that it is better to invest in gold but it has its pros and cons.
But personally i prefer more bitcoin as it is digital(virtual) and need low-non cost to maintain it.

well gold is much more ancient, bitcoin still need to grow, it's obvious that gold has a larger market cap, but it does not mean much we should comapre it in 10 years and see who will be the winner |

well gold is much more ancient, bitcoin still need to grow, it's obvious that gold has a larger market cap, but it does not mean much we should comapre it in 10 years and see who will be the winner Even after 10 years i think it is still early to compare these two, Bitcoin is absolutely new comparing to gold which every people (mostly) have it, But by the technology trend bitcoin is getting older and older everyday  |

I am a bit more skeptical about it. Similar ventures have failed in the past. What makes you think that this time they will get everything right? Also, I don't know much about the guys behind this venture. |

bitcoin and gold both have advantages and disadvantages, the excess gold, is his value is always stable and tends to increase from year to year, gold is more liquid when we need money, while if bitcoin, its value tends to fluctuate, depending on the price in the stock market, when demand for many goods less then bitcoin prices tend to rise, whereas if the demand for a little while goods much the bitcoin prices tend to fall

Gold is a store of value or investment. You cannot use gold to purchase other goods or service easily/directly.
Bitcion is mainly a currency, you can buy with it. It can also be used as a store of value. Many people hold bitcoin and anticipate it to increase in value.

I choose both honestly if I had to choose one for shtf situation I would say gold because it doesn't require tech to use. If all the competes in the work failed gold would be my only choice imho. |
