In an ideal investment portfolio it is necessary a percentage of 60% of gold and 40% of other type of investment (or bitcoin ).

In an ideal investment portfolio it is necessary a percentage of 60% of gold and 40% of other type of investment (or bitcoin ). If everybody thought that way, gold would go through the roof. On a serious note, what people think of as "ideal portfolio" includes stocks, bonds, real estate and a small amount in alternate investments (commodities, crypto-currencies, etc)

Holding cash, however illogical it seems today, may be the wisest course of action.

I would prefer bitcoin over gold.
I would prefer gold over bitcoin. This thread could use a poll.

I would pick 50/50. Gold because of his consistency over time, Bitcoin because of the easeness of movement and possible big uprise in the future.

Bitcoin, and in some case gold (for problem of speculation in particular case). Bitcoin is the future money, I hope that will happen this.

Latest posters are sensible, they deserve pats on their greasy domes.
Bitcoin AND Gold, mix the two, they are both real money.
50/50 is a good mix to start with.
EDIT: Silver rounds are A1 also.

Trusting other animals to look after your resources is silly behavior, no other creature would do such an absurd thing.

I would pick gold. Reason. Everybody knows and accept gold value but not everybody acknowledges bitcoin. Is as simple as that.

Three years ago, I picked 20 oz gold and 100 Bitcoins at the price of $6. I still own all of them.
