Well if im asked to pick in Bitcoin or Gold I will choose Bitcoin because bitcoin don't need space to store you can store it on online wallet unlike Gold that needs space to be stored. Well that space will be worth it in times of emergency. Gold is a fast way to be sold or pawned in case you need money. You dont need to go online to do that. Even your neighbor would want your gold.

Bitcoin has been traded for roughly 5 years. Each year it has significantly increased it's value. Will it continue?
No one will be able to predict the future prices with 100% accuracy. Because it depends on a lot of different factors, such as the reputation of the exchanges, regulation from the governments, performance of the competitors (altcoins, as well as payment options such as MPESA).etc... That said, I would claim that the future outlook looks rosy for BTC. There is a lot of potential.

I mean its price skyrockets, its real deployment widens (beyond sheer speculation and online gambling), you come to the idea that Bitcoin is better than gold? There's no rose without a thorn

I would pick for Bitcoin and that is because I think that you can earn more money with Bitcoin later and Bitcoin will be also the future payment method. As you can see now the world is also getting more digital and that doesnt works well with Gold.

Interesting view points. I've been a stacker for decades and can't come close to linking the two other than a ratio of value between them. Bitcoin has transaction convenience and for me that's about it. Gold (my gold/silver) stays out of the system and therefore my wealth is too. I doubt very much if my btc transactions are truly anonymous.
Carrington events have happened thousands of times in earths history but only given a name 1859. We (earth) were lucky two years ago when a very extreme event missed earth by a few days. (rotation of the sun etc.etc.) If luck wouldn't of been with us we wouldn't be on this forum now. Or would any electronic transaction of any kind happened from that day till Huh?? But the couple of days of 24hr continuous Aurora Borealis seen from any and everywhere would of be damn cool.

A nearby explosion of a supernova (like Betelgeuse, a giant star not very far away from the Solar system) could have even more devastating consequences and would potentially incapacitate not just electronic devices. Last such event happened in 1054, which allegedly caused a chain of historical developments like Crusades and migrations of huge masses of people... Whether these events are actually connected remains to be seen (if we ever live up to that)

Yes, I too would prefer to take bitcoin because most of the time I work online and its only a flexible payment system, I can use every where to buy any thing online More over I will hold my bitcoins for next 10 to 15 years to make myself a billionaire.

We all have our own preferences on what to pick and keep, I like your idea because you are too optimistic with what will bitcoins will bring you in the future and you are stating that you want to become billionaire that would only happen if the price of bitcoin will go skyrocket to the moon. Let us support and now and in the future we all profit.

I would always pick bitcoin even the price itself is really unpredictable but it have my trust. On the other side, I don't own a gold yet but I don't forget its popularity since then, it has been part of our past generations a long time ago. For now btc is in demand because of its value.

It's not sure that bitcoin will go up and up year after year. You did not experience 2014 and even a large part of 2015 was really bad for holder. Not much price action. So yes when it comes so stability I go for Gold.
