It is a hard choice but with the current phase I would say Bitcoins. Well both gold and bitcoins are very precious but from the invest point of view Bitcoin is more beneficial. Most people say Gold is just used for jewelry but still very valuable. Gold, silver and bitcoins are the real asset. Bitcoins are currently most profitable.
Yeah bitcoin price has fast movement value unlike those jewelry that you can make a big profit in the future. the more you have bitcoin the more you can make a profit.. golds only for safe investment that you can hold for a long time .. and bitcoin use as money online that anytime bitcoin value can be change depends in supply and demand.. |

Even I would choose bitcoin coz I don't have to pay taxes for btc if I earn it but while buying gold we have to pay taxes plus gold can be stolen but its very difficult to have ones bitcoin wallet. And due to scarcity gold have reached its peak while btc is still rising. |

Even I would choose bitcoin coz I don't have to pay taxes for btc if I earn it but while buying gold we have to pay taxes plus gold can be stolen but its very difficult to have ones bitcoin wallet. And due to scarcity gold have reached its peak while btc is still rising. Yes investing in bitcoin seems to be good choice at a moment as price will rise in future so if we invest now in bitcoin then it can give us best returns in future. |

[/quote] I think its very hard to decide but i will go in with bitcoin....because ROI in bitcoin is high but unstable but in case of gold is low but is a way stable than bitcoin....But Bitcoin has advantage is that it is more secured...so i will go with it |

It really depends on what I want to do with my money. If I would like their value to remain almost stable and save them for later I would choose gold, on the other hand if I would like to see them increasing in value I would choose bitcoin. For now my choice is bitcoin.

There are many differences between gold and bitcoin. It's true that gold is a rare commodity, but bitcoin is actually limited in how much bitcoin there can exist. As the demand for gold rises, miners mine more gold, but bitcoin has a total limit. This would mean that the price of bitcoin will go up, in the long term.
On the other hand, gold has an intrinsic value, whereas bitcoin is entirely speculative, and doesn't have any other use other than being an exchange medium.
Also, gold is accepted all over the world, in transactions, but bitcoin is not accepted by everyone.

Why does gold deteriorate with time lol? You do realise they are digging up gold that has been buried/under the sea for thousands of years and it looks as new. That is one of the unique properties of Gold over other metals, it doesnt tarnish or deteriorate. When I walk around I dont really want to carry around my investments, not really applicable to real life. People here have no idea of the scale of gold compared to bitcoin. All the people with real money, governments, central banks etc. all back gold. The only thing backing bitcoin is a few thousand computer nerds with asic miners. |

Why does gold deteriorate with time lol? It all depends on the time frame. Anything material deteriorates with time, but I think that poster meant something other. That is, that gold coins and gold bars wear out (read lose mass and value) with usage and exposure to the environment... But gold, indeed, doesn't change (unless you plunge it into aqua regia, of course) |
