A nice feature for the wallet might be a currency conveter.

So I just tried SFRpay and went from paypal to BTC in my wallet in about 45 min. SFRbit gave an error "not working for me" so I sent to bitterex and sold. Overall transaction cost from SFRpay to Bitterex out was less than 10% and about 45 min including 20 conf @ bitterex. Kinda cool!

Sounds like a cool idea hamzatu, can you elaborate? Feel free to hop in the Saffron IRC too, and share your ideas with the community and devs! Im sure the devs would like to hear your suggestions, theyre always open ears. So I just tried SFRpay and went from paypal to BTC in my wallet in about 45 min. Nice garmin! Can you post any screenshots? I didn't grab a paypal screen shot while in progress. It looked like it hung while paypal was processing, but I refreshed the screen and it said complete. Voucher code was real fast, in inbox about 20 seconds and another 20 seconds to claim voucher and receive SFR. The longest part was waiting for 20 conf @ bitterex. The SFR wallet part was fast under 1 min from SFRpay to SFR in wallet.

That's a very fast way for buying SFR, rather than wait for BTC (4 days wait at coinbase) then have to wait like an hour for btc to exchange then buy. wow, I think this coin may be on to something here, lots of great features.

Pleased to see that works for you . After some discussions ont the IRC, that is caused by huge difference between all distro, packages version, installation method, etc... So in the future I will compile some versions : ArchLinux / Debian / Ubuntu, and probably CentOS/Fedora for a RPM version . And try to make a DEB repo for Debian/Ubuntu, so for next wallet release you will just have to upgrade your Debian based distro like any other package! "apt-get upgrade" and rulezzzz!

I have made 2 .deb packages for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS for the MultiTasking Linux wallet : - SaffronCoin MT Wallet 2.4.2 pre-compiled- SaffronCoin MT Wallet 2.4.2 NOT compiledFor the pre-compiled one you have to install some dependencies like that : sudo apt-get install libdb5.3-dev libdb5.3++ libdb5.3 libdb5.3++-dev libboost-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libqt5webkit5-dev Then : sudo dpkg -i saffroncoin-qt-mt-compiled-2.4.2.deb For the not compiled one : sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev qt5-qmake libqt5gui5 libqt5core5a libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev-tools Then : sudo dpkg -i saffroncoin-qt-mt-2.4.2.deb It will compile it and install it into /usr/bin After that you just have to launch the wallet : /usr/bin/saffroncoin-qt-mt Tomorrow I will make same with classic wallet, and both for Debian. Then I will try to make a repo for Debian/Ubuntu. Let me know if the .deb packages works Thanks for taking out the time to do this Tizen!

I gave them some extra nodes to add but they reported some error while adding nodes. So they said they will look at it later.

Looks like mining is being dominated by ASICs. This maybe good for the network but not for me. I have to mine another coin in order to buy Saffron. I mine X11 because of the heat. Will get ASIC soon.
Speaking of another coin. A multipool might solve this problem and bring other added benefits.
Would be great if we had a coin dev base pool - we're the fee would the coin development . And not line the pocket of 3rd party pool Like minerals . Simple multipool r that mine straight at nice hash but after each nice hash payout Buy and payout in Saffron - keep the diff down and and buying support up . This is what Iam Currently doing .

Features that I thought of.
1. Wallet update notification - This automatically allow the walltet users to know when to update.
2. Currency Converter - A currency conveter is a feature that will allow the wallet to display the balance in either SFR, BTC, or USD, ect. The feature would consist of a button that when click cycles through balance in the chosen currency. This would be good for displaying the worth of the users wallet in a instant.
3. SaffronCoin Auction/Trading Platform - Since SaffronCoin is going to incorporate escrow and 2FA features it could be possible a platform that would incorporate these features in a decentralized auction and/or trading platform could be built. This platform could be used in customer to customer, customer to business, and/or business to business auctions/trading/marketing of most anything. (I think that this will bring business to the coin instead of just competing with other coins for the same market.)
Each user will be able to purchase SaffronCoin with SFRPay, pay with SaffronCoin or SFRBit, setup or list items (classifieds or market) to be auctioned or sold then transacted with users privately. This system could include invoicing and billing with anonymous invoicing/messaging/reciepts. Then follow the transaction through to complete with logistics privately. The could be expanded to include an decentralized exchange as well. A complete decentralized trustless auction/trading/marketing platorm. Transaction fees could be paid to miners.
4. SaffronCoin Multipool - A multipool has many benefits. Although this feature is used mostly by POS coin it could be well utilized by SaffronCoin. It may not seem necessary at this time but will probably become so. a. It would provide a buffer for price stability on the back end through the buying of SaffronCoin at regular intervals.
b. It will give algorythms with less hash rate a chance to continue to be more profitable
c. A multipool will help ensure that SaffronCoin's popularity stays strong in the future as new coins emerge.
d. A multipool along side of regular mining is just more and better.
PS Just thoughts. If the community is interested in these ideas I will develop use cases if needed.

Interesting. Don't think multi pools are reqd at this time. It will also take time to make unless a service like CoinKing makes one for us. We will have your first 2 suggestions in the next release.

Just noticed how many businesses are built around Saffron, related goods, and name. This could be a good inroad to a B to B trading platform. After all Saffron is worth about as much as gold. May take some time, but if this coin continues sucessfully then time is on our side.
With all of the features that we have and upcoming. I feel that we need a hook.

Development Update
Our next major feature will be a built-in music player. We are going to expand on ROXCoin's visions. This music/media player would be the first step towards SaffronCoin's decentralized/P2P music sharing.
We will be adopting Blockchain 2.0 i.e. Sidechains for all our decentralized services including SFRDirect. Using the existing Blockchain for other P2P features like some other coins is not optimal because the Bitcoin Developers call that to be "spamming" the blockchain. So a Sidechain can host a variety of services without interrupting the original chain.
Our next wallet could be out in a week's time. Some members requested some extra essential features such as Wallet Update notifications and a currency convertor for SFR in BTC and Fiat.
Will have all these in the next wallet!

One of the most active dev team with the best coin, thank you for all your hard work and keep it up.. this coin is incredibly undervalued.. but price is starting to rise. soon you may not see these prices this low any more.
