Hello, I have been running several pools for a while, mostly for my own miners and some friends.

I am making my pools available to anyone now.

There's a 1/4 of 1% (0.25%) fee, substantially smaller than most other pools.

Running MPOS over Coinium stratum server.

If anyone wishes to join the pool, go to:

orbitcoin.artbatista.com

Cheers

I just found 2111 ORB by running 'checkwallet' and then 'repairwallet' on an old pre-fork install that I found. Very lucky, as I was about to delete it.

With all unspent outputs having 650,000+ confirms - last blocked mined 355 days ago - I thought I was in for a nice bit of staking, but unfortunately 90% of them are 0.25 original mined blocks, which will never stake. Sad

   1         "amount" : 500.25000000,
   1         "amount" : 270.25000000,
   3         "amount" : 100.25000000,
   3         "amount" : 250.25000000,
   5         "amount" : 20.25000000,
 112         "amount" : 0.25000000,

2111 ORB would have been worth nearly 2 BTC if I'd cashed them in at the time they were mined. In fact, they were probably 'lost' because of a failed transaction creation, which would have been a send to Cryptsy.

Run 'checkwallet' in your debug RPC console, see if you hit anything!

That's a good find for sure. You can merge them now into larger chunks and put in the staking business. ORB is going to have another release soon. I think by the end of month most likely. I'm working on staking performance improvements now. The current wallet is very slow while staking over 500 active inputs. Many users including myself have to run several wallets for this purpose.

Quick update on status of the exchanges from the OP. Doesn't look very good. :-/

Cryptsy - market open, but wallet under maintenance (disabled)
Allcoin - market closed
Usecryptos - markets appear to be open, but very low volume (less than 70 ORB traded in 24h)
Crypto-trade - markets appear to be open, but very low volume (less than 6 ORB traded in 24h)
Allcrypt - market appears to be open, but zero traded in 24h
Comkort - shows warning about last block being found 3 days ago. (Wrong chain? Broken client?)
Bleutrade - market appears to be open, but very low volume (less than 11 ORB traded in 24h)
Cryptoine - market appears to be open, but zero traded in 24h

Guys I have a blog geared specifically towards high pos coins. I want so bad to use this coin and CANNOT get the wallet working. Im on the latest 1.4.2.2. Im not kidding when I say Ive tried it on atleast 6 different computers, mostly ultra high end with i-7's and 16-32gb ram. A fresh wallet with nothing in it will download and launch, and near the end it will crash. "Orbit coin has stopped working". Ive tried to downoad and sync on atleast 6 different computers and same result. A few people said to turn staking off by using different commands in the .conf file and appending the .exe shortcut. Neither works.. so what gives!?!? I want to list you on http://bitcoinlasvegas.net/category/highest-percent-proof-of-stake-coins/ badly with all the other high pos coins. Now I just learned its changing to Neoscrypt. As an owner of 250 mhs of scrypt, I need to get my butt in gear and get this wallet working and mine what I can while its still scrypt.

Edit : FINALLY got this to work. Key was to backup and move to desktop wallet.dat. Download the bootstrap/blockchainfile, delete all in the data folder, unzip blockchain, sync, and put wallet.dat back. FINALLY. Posted this for anyone else having issues. Blockchain can be found on op.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

Glad you got it working.  I haven't tried a setup from scratch lately.  I'll attempt it shortly.

Ill say this , if the blockchain is not downloaded from the OP, and someone tries to sync from the blockchain , it crashes. first coin ever Ive seen do that consistantly. I still like this coin so I posted an article about it on my blog, as I feel there is still many that are not aware it exists; http://bitcoinlasvegas.net/orbitcoin-orb-500-interest-annual-powpos-hybrid/

A fail safe way to syncronise is to connect to the core nodes only. They are always online and up to date.

orbitcoin-qt -connect=seed0.orb.sx -connect=seed1.orb.sx

Shut down the client when done, back up the data subdirectory and start as usual.
