Can someone from the Nxt Forum (Damelon, Daedelus and/or anyone that has been around long enough) explain this to me please? An Error Has Occurred! Sorry smaragda, you are banned from using this forum! Attempt to scam impersonating a member. Permanent ban deserved. Bye. This ban is not set to expire. I'm no admin but it appears you have been perma-banned for impersonating a member. How did the message arrive, have you confirmed it is legit? The English/tone seems a bit off to me. Were you trying to use a sockpuppet account?

when alias can be exchanged?
In the next release. I don't know when that is but it will be a big one. Alias Transfer and Digital Goods Store, Jean Luc has the call whether to include Monetary System too. wow. Thanks. I think it might also be getting re-skinned with the new Nxt Global branding that looks really cool, but don't quote me Cool. (wait, I just quoted you. oh noes!) I should clarify I have seen screenshots of NRS with the Global branding (even slicker than the existing look) but I have no idea if it will be in the next release or not. All is well again Just to show I'm not making it up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgMkVhSdRjY&feature=youtu.be

How do I confirm? I was logged in my account... for several hours actually... I went back to the Pub thread tab I had opened and got that message while trying to go to the next page. Edit: I just refreshed other tabs I had opened... same thing. I have asked here >>>> https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/mods-is-smaragda-perma-bannedTry a re-boot and logging in again? The several hours logged in might have borked it if you wern't active.

The smaragda account has not been banned. This account however hás been: https://nxtforum.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1031That account was caught in an attempt to scam another user out of 10,000 Nxt. Curious that you are trying to log into that account, as you have also been logged into your smaragda account today. Going to forward this to the banning admin.

guys, does anyone know, if there is a way to make nxt client run in the background, or rest at a taskbar? having an open window for the process is somewhat (aesthetically) annoying to me.

Is there any chance Tor has something to do with all this? I could try to log in my account without Tor. Should I try it now or wait for the admin to have a look at this? Much appreciated! I have posted this in the admin forum, for an admin who is better versed in this to have a look at. However, I still see you have logged into the smaragda account, which is strange. We will seriously look into this and inform you of the outcome.

There is NxtLoader >>> https://nxtforum.org/nxt-projects/nxtloader-for-windows/new/#newI understand you just download a replacement run.bat file that replaces the existing. It is unofficial but LiQio has been around helping out for a long time. I have asked if it will find its way into the core.

If you use the Wesly client you can set it to minimize to Tray. Then set a book mark in your browser to access it at local host port XXX (I forget the port 78 something). This also allow you to use browser password manager like LastPass to put in your password easily.

I have a little security concern. Is this is been discussed already: Many people make typical copy/paste error in NXT-client and have extra space at the start/end of the password (or both). Now that gives them new 64-bit typo-account, cause there is no outgoing transaction. If evil hackcer can crack that 64-bit account/password, it is easy for hacker just remove the extra spaces and gain access to real 256-bit account with balance. Or did i understand this correctly ?

I think what you describe could be feasible one day. Eadeqa has been seen discussing the numbers on cracking 64 bit accounts. An astute hacker could check for spaces before/after/both any account they crack. But... Based on the top 310 64-bit account balances and today's computers, if you could make 250 million guesses per second it would take 4 years to bruteforce just one account. If you had that amount of computing power, you would make much more mining Bitcoin. So you are are safe for fair a while yet. I also vaguely remember a discussion on increasing the security of these accounts (to 80-bit, I think). I will try to find the link. This will push the date even further into the future. If you have any concerns, create a new account and use programs like keepass to manage your account passphrases. Every new account will give you peace of mind about inputting 'space' errors you might have done in the past.

I use LastPass for basic email and other not money worthy things, but don't want to trust any 3rd party for my future millions so i have super-duper password system with partly generated from unique file, partly copy/paste and partly inputing from my memory with virtual keyboard...I know it 's too paranoid , but i think it's safe because i don't have the whole password saved anywhere.
