The biggest good news is, the network as a whole has increased by 18% in the last week. Good work people! But we need more nodes before CfB is happy enough to fully implement Transparent Forging. The network is the one thing clones can't clone, it is our best asset. Let's make sure we look after it and make it stronger That's # Peers, right? Nice bump, wonder why now? Is there a good explanation of the difference between a node and a peer anywhere? Try here >>> https://nxtforum.org/general/client-account-public-node-and-node-let's-stop-the-confusion!/ It is work in progress for the Nxt Glossary >>>> http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/GlossaryThat gives some clarity, if only because it shows me I actually didn't understand the things I thought I did after all.

I dumped my remaining XCPs a few days ago. I'd probably keep them, but then I have to keep downloading the bitcoin blockchain all the time, which is a pain. Yeah I know there is an online secure wallet that does encryption in the browser for such lazy types as me, but I just don't trust online wallets. So i just figured no reason to keep them XCPs, if the only two ways to use them are either insecure (in my subjective mind) or inconvenient.

i know humans will be humans but its frustrating how they switched their ethics to full on attack on nxt by spreading rumors

i know humans will be humans but its frustrating how they switched their ethics to full on attack on nxt by spreading rumors I'm an XCP holder, too, and I support their project. But I didn't see their comments as a full-on attack as much as a very lazy, dismissive set of remarks. They didn't do their homework and didn't think they'd have to explain their mistakes. I don't think they expected the reaction from Nxt people that they are getting. I'm going to give them a few days to see if they say anything more in response.

24% have upgraded so far, good to say the release is less than a day old. The biggest good news is, the network as a whole has increased by 18% in the last week. Good work people! If TF was already running, NXT would be at first place in this wepage: http://coinmarketcap.com/JUST SAYING.

And while it is interesting, it doesn't seem a game changer to warrant your optimism. Without TF, it's just Nxt's PoS transparent forging. You may want to take a look at our wiki, read from here on: http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Whitepaper:Nxt#The_BlockchainIf TF will allow for secure instant transactions and a very high rate of transactions per second, then it's quite a game changer imo.

Let's make sure we look after it and make it stronger I though transparent forging was already running. How is it generating blocks now? The last I saw, CfB said TF was 50% implemented. There also won't be a point where you can say 'TF started here". I think it is made up of several elements interacting, a larger network being one of them. Current forging is a kind of lottery, each Nxt being a ticket. Part of what decides who "wins" is the base target (%). Once transparent forging is fully implented, you will know the forging order so this will not be needed. It is just for boostrapping phase and is discussed in the second or third of BCNexts essays, IIRC.
