Buy or earn at least 10k of NXT. Then go to one of the Nxt Forging Pools like http://pool.nxtcrypto.org and lend your NXT to them. With 10k you will forge between 7-15 NXT a month. Without forging pool you will need luck to forge a new block if you have less than 100k NXT.

Notice: by lending NXT, you don't give your NXT really away. They are just locked during the lending time, but they are still under your fully control.

Set MS block to 330000 in the UI too, so that the MS features menu appears
after that height.

What does ms means and how we can set ms block to 330000 in the ui

MS means Monetary System. This is a change in v1.4.6. Presumably it is a bug fix, in certain circumstances on testnet the UI didn't appear after block 330000. This fixes it so that the UI does appear. You don't have to do anything.

ok thanks i had updated to v1.4.6 and its on PC.
i dont bother to use web based wallet.
so tell me with 570 NXT forging balance how much i can make in a month?

with 570 NXT you probably wont forge a block in a year..

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Nxt one-click simple installers, anyone got any feedback? You can upgrade to the latest version  (currently 1.4.6) from within the client when you are up and running.

Very true. It happened in Nxts early days too.

I have linked to Wesley's original posts on nxtforum. Could you delete the links you quoted too? Smiley

Hey everyone. Today I got a big scare when trying to transfer the small fortune of NXT (100k+) I amassed on Cryptsy to my wallet. I transfered it but I forgot I was using a new adress and did not include the public key. I don't know if that was the cause but anyway the transfer went to the 5th dimension. No tx-id, no NXT received in my wallet, no NXT left on Cryptsy. A second transaction I did after that with a small amount (also without the public key) did transfer.

I filed a ticket with Cryptsy. Any other advice would be appreciated. I live by the rule to not invest more then I can afford to lose but this is still almost a months salary.

Ouch, you were courageous to send the 100k Nxt all at once if this was your first contact with a new wallet! I think the only way to get the Nxt back is with your Craptsy ticket. This look like a problem with Craptsy website. I think the Nxt are not lost, tho, it probably not the first time that such an event happen. Why in the hell, Craptsy let you submit an incomplete transaction.

I have seen the strong return of NXT, how much will it gain?  Huh Huh

Like I said, only coin that constantly delivers. I wouldn't be worried about the price long term. Short term, it is speculators game, just like with every other coin. Look what is China doing to Bitcoin at the moment!

Why do you say it is China man?

Come on man, everybody knows that!! That they are faking their orders on Huobi and BTCChina etc. They are born gamblers!!

Look what they did to NXT on BTC38 in last few days since the volume picked up. 1 NXT went from .140 Yen to 0.095 Yen at the moment. This is just a game for them. I am happy that BTC traders from the rest of the world on BTER are not falling and following this volatility!! I am speaking about NXT of course!
I understand what you say and of course I want every thing will be Ok with NXT

NXT behaves well as the btc drops in these days,
who knows why?

Something similar happened to me when trying to transfer NXT from Cryptsy (not nearly as many).  I only got it resolved by making the biggest stink possible here at bitcoin forum.  Cryptsy doesn't like it when you openly talk about their problems on this board, so they get to your problem fast.  There are people who have been waiting three or four months for their NXT deposits from Cryptsy.  There is some kind of trouble, and for some reason Cryptsy won't fix it.  All I can tell you is email and complain as much as possible.

edited to add:  Here is the original post I made about my Cryptsy problems. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678833.msg7728955#msg7728955

Thanks for the advice!! And good to hear you got it resolved. Too bad it took so much trouble but at least it's resolvable, that's what's most important to me given the amount...

I received an email from Cryptsy stating that they escalated this problem to the 2nd line and that I should be patient..... I'll give them a week.

Which one am I supposed to download? 1.4.5 or 1.4.6?

On the main NXT website at Nxt.org, the download link is for 1.4.5. The OP also says 1.4.5. But when I look at the announcement on the NXT forum at Nxtforum.org, it says "HARD FORK AT BLOCK 330,000 - Update to the latest Nxt Client 1.4.6".

Is 1.4.6 an unstable version still in development? I don't usually like to download alpha or beta versions due to the risk of bugs.

Also my laptop running XP has 1 GB of RAM and running the NXT client along with multiple tabs open on Firefox is very slow. I am thinking of switching to a light client like Mofowallet (I don't use online wallets as my main wallet for security reasons) but I don't want to lose out on the forging benefits. Sad

EDIT: Wait, does Mofowallet support forging without running a full node? How is this possible? Huh

If you download the installer (known as NxtWallet) from...

https://nxtforum.org/alternative-clients/(windows-mac-linux)-nxtwallet/msg146179/#msg146179

...you can update to 1.4.6 from within the client.

If downloading the NRS client (the original one with the black window with all the code in it), download 1.4.6 directly from...

https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-4-6/

... or the link at the top of nxtforum.org.

1.4.6 is a full release (not alpha of beta) but that doesn't guarantee no bugs  Grin

Try mofowallet, it is lightweight so no blockchain to download. It is unknown to me so I don't know much about it.
