Tried to open wallet this afternoon and got the dreaded stuck icon in tray
Deleted the peers and debug, then it opend, said it was syncing but stuck at 4 days.
Then did what Flip did a few pages back, deleted everything but the wallet (backed up though)
Opened right away, syched fast and there's my syscoin again.
Went to "getinfo" in debug console and time is correct for my local ....I'm in florida, EST.

following something mentioned earlier...heres the last of the debog.log when I shut down the wallet

"2014-08-21 20:23:14 Shutdown : In progress...
2014-08-21 20:23:14 Flush(false)
2014-08-21 20:23:14 DBFlush(false) ended               0ms
2014-08-21 20:23:14 StopNode()
2014-08-21 20:23:14 Flushed 647 addresses to peers.dat  85ms
2014-08-21 20:23:15 Committing 0 changed transactions to coin database...
2014-08-21 20:23:15 Flush(true)
2014-08-21 20:23:15 wallet.dat refcount=0
2014-08-21 20:23:15 wallet.dat checkpoint
2014-08-21 20:23:15 wallet.dat detach
2014-08-21 20:23:15 wallet.dat closed
2014-08-21 20:23:15 DBFlush(true) ended             105ms
2014-08-21 20:23:15 Shutdown : done"

EST the time was actually 4:23 PM or 16:23.

Dumb question....before loading with 1.3 I got rid of everything....so I think.
file version for the client says 8.6.2.
Is that the file version 1.3 loads?

We are looking for a longer term solution to this problem related to "rogue blocks" negatively impacting the client. This is a top priority for the team, we have all of our available resources working on this but we're looking for help to expedite a solution and don't have funding yet. Because of this lifeforce pool has generously offered a 250k SYS bounty to help expedite a solution and the team is matching this for a total 500k SYS bounty for anyone who can help us resolve the "ConnectBlock:: coinbase pays too much" error in a manner that neither hangs nor terminates the client. This is roughly ~1200usd. We have a working interim solution in place but need something long term. We are putting together a thorough brief on this to provide interested developers with "what we know" of the matter and will post this shortly.

Did this get solved?  Curious what the problem turned out to be.

I have just 4 MH/s.  Perfect diff would be like 1m or something.

huh? That's not true.

chromosoma, find a P2Pool. You'll find blocks quicker and the difficulty is lower.

I am using syscoin.me pool, which has the option of choosing its own  diff.

MInerpools has me at 991.82 diff with 4.33Mh from the Asics and 221.59 on 1,137.56 from my gpu's miner.
never really thought about it the coins just keep coming, they find lots of blocks to share.
That's whats important.
The miner itself is showing a network diff level of 49

oh and I tried a p2Pool yesterday and it didn't give me as many coins over 24 hours.

syscoinme works great for me and they have a vardiff port as well as several ports giving a wide range of fixed diffs.

wait, but if your assigned diff is higher then net diff, it is easier to mine solo:)))

24 hours isn't enough time; you should at least give a several days (most say a week, idk)... but in the long run you'll actually make more with P2Pools. But don't take my word, just search this forum.

I'm pretty sure this one doesn't work, but I thought I'd give it a go.

Took my whopping 1.4 MH/s elsewhere, no way I'm finding a block on my own here. Sad
