It seems the interest for NODE has been decreased.

Bter's case stole NODE's expectations.

Nodecoin has leprosy? Because no exchange want to add? Sounds like a good project.

No pat, These exchanges just does not add coins based on innovation or source code. I know how they work, Polo added "NAS" and i also exactly know how they added HZ which is a fork of NXT. Just check Polo and you will see whole lot of shit coins trading there without no vol.

Maybe you think they work honestly but i just dont believe that anymore.

From personal experience I can say that they have been very patient and decent. Maybe that's just my personal experience but I couldn't say a bad thing about Poloniex at this point.
It's true that they have shitcons there as well but show me one exchange that doesn't (besides Kraken and others in the bigleagues).
I'm not saying I'd trust them with my life or all my coins but my experience with them so far has been nothing but positive.

He does have a point pat, I have noticed that when coins are peaking the deposits/withdrawals tend to take longer than usual. It's only problems with coins peaking, other coins while not in peaking phase are working just fine. They are the middle man in control, so we really don't know how they set up their systems on their side or what they are doing with our BTC.

They add coins that are pumped and then dead a month later. Remember BTER has added coins before with backdoor deals with the coin dev (I think one of them was paycoin) in order to pump it and hedge the profits. What makes you think that all these "hacks" are not just attempts at stealing the funds in order to pump some weird new coin they have a backdoor deal with.
Why couldn't the other exchanges do the same as well? After all, exchanges exist to make a profit not for altruistic reasons.

I'll give you a personal experience, I was playing around a bit with the markets of a coin on 2 exchanges. Since there wasn't much activity and big gaps between sell/buy price I wondered if I could manipulate the volume and market cap.  What did I find out? With a simple 0.005 BTC buy/sells, I could instantly pump the market cap from $300k to $600k, that's with less than $5 of me buying and the volume also reflected it accordingly. Seriously, wtf? Exchanges can easily create fake volume and price with very little BTC.

edit: With that said, I will sit back and wait for centralization of BTC to happen. It's only a matter of time before corporations and banks take over, why? Well because it's obvious that the world is not ready for a decentralized monetary system, this small experiment with altcoins and BTC has created a toxic community where the voices of the people that want to help out are drowned out for the voices of the scammers and greedy. At this point, I consider most devs just here to scam people for as much money as they can, most don't care for a better way of doing financial transactions, most don't care that this would help the world's population in leaps, most don't care about future generations having a better world ready for them.  Most here only care about becoming millionaires, and that will be the downfall back into centralization. Decentralization doesn't seem possible at the moment, maybe in the future.

With Crypto it will be the same like it was with Linux. In the beginnig only a small group
had the knowlege and the interests to work with it. Now 20 years back Linux is still not really mainstream
but i has on the quiet established and getting more and more.

Yes, I'll get my popcorn too and wait for bitcoin centralization.
Also, greedy schemers galore- just looking at Bitshares, Paycoin and all the numerous other sleazebags out there makes that obvious.

On the other hand, I think the Nxt and NEM communities are different from what you describe. I know that for a fact from the Nxt community, and NEM has a chance to do this too.
As for NODE- the line is thin, but NODE does have genuine potential too.

Only it can't be expected to turn into riches overnight. That is something that scammers and greedy devs always promise their $hitcoins to do, where they only turn into riches for them.

POA is almost finalized, but there is still an error, we will raise the test network. Also, these accounts I gave LemonsFires use, we do not take a coins

Thanks for clearing that up, I'm not so sure your POA was/is really broken. I haven't looked at the code but I have always been of the opinion that it was designed for a massively larger adoption and in that case it would work. changing it for a small subset of nodes will probably make it ineffective when the adoption reaches a critical level. Have you thought of a variance that could be used based on node count?

I see people get scared/depressed too easily in here. Cheer up folks !!! The hacking damaged only Bter, NODEcoins were not affected. Hacking only delays things a little bit.
Soon some other big exchange add NODE or Alcurex gets bigger and things will continue were they left of.
Hopefully Nodeclub or Koop4u will return soon though. It's allways nice to see some posts/updates from dev side regularly, it helps to keep the spirit up.

I wrote to few exchanges yesterday bragging the 20-50 BTC/day volume that was happening before the Bter-crash and instant transactions and all that makes NODE special. Hopefully some of them sees the opprtunity to nail their platform to #1 NODE exchange.... You should ask too. Or do any form of free marketing that suites you, it may help to start moving towards the $10 million cap, where paid marketing supposed to start. The green numbers on CMC is the best marketing there is.  Wink   Cheesy

XMR made Polo one of the big boys, so you never know. Smiley

We don't need to be on more small exchanges, that only increases the chance of a GOX.

Kraken does have Mona - which is like the Japanese version of Doge but nowhere near the capitalization or volume..
