when you change the mining software did you unplug or reboot the device cause sometimes you have to do that with usb miners ive found...

make sure that
enable logging
append jason conf
enable auto detection
enable frequency auto tuning

are all turned on
set your start freq some where are 500-600 for stock miners

if that does not work you can always try reinstalling minera with latest os by doing a fresh install

run cpu miner it has auto tune ability on your miners i run 2 gridseed 5 chip miners that are volt modded

and i run cpu miner it will auto tune the 5 different chips some of my chips run 1000mhz some run 975 some run 900 but mine are overclocked

Tried your suggestion, CPUminer found the miner, but did not hash.  100% error it said (not HW error).  Pool is good, Temp is good, connection is good.  The log file shows the new blocks as the pool announces, just doesn't hash/accept/HW error. Yet I take that same GDS to my PC setup, plug it in and 100% hash @ 502Mhz, accepts like a madman (BFGminer running on PC atm).

I used first 850MHz then 975MHz which made no difference on the minera dashboard.

I'm wondering what I'm missing??  Aside from saving changes and restart the GDS (in Local Miner area), there is not like actual "Start/Run" button I've missed (lol)?

Did you start the miner? Can you try it with a GS only not the whole bunch? Can you provide a screenshot or a miner log?

hey Mich there is some kind of re link/share issue with the new version of BFG if you try to up date it etc i keep getting this

./bfgminer: error while loading shared libraries: libudev.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

and if you make it inside minera it's hit and miss it may make but still not work you might get a re link error which i went looking and found a fix that doesn't work,so, just a heads up you might get pounded with questions till i guess luke fixes whatever he did unless minera has to be adjusted now for the new version .i did compile it in the OPT folder and CP to the minera folder, didn't do any good i still get

./bfgminer: error while loading shared libraries: libudev.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

BFG 5.4.2 works fine stand a lone.

and using the custom folder same thing

/var/www/minera/minera-bin/custom/alchemist: error while loading shared libraries: libbase58.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

just a heads up .

did that, for me i can't get 5.4.2 to work with minera 5.4.1 does . and i have 5.4.2 working fine stand a lone .

minera does the same thing just before it cp/copy's it to /var/www/minera/minera-bin with

Code:
        make
sudo make install
sudo ldconfig

in the build_miner.sh file.

trying again  with minera manually to see if that works and some times it won't compile at all inside minera but will any place else . just 5.4.2 all the other soft ware miners work fine.

This was more a heads up , your right i might be doing something wrong Smiley .I guess it was me and don't enable --alchemist it seems that might cause issue with minea, it wasn't with 5.4.1  and minera, this time thu i deleted the minera folder and downloaded the master renamed it then copied it to right folder on my pi etc used the right build script, it worked .

last thought it might be related to your issue in the bfg thread with those stick miners, there from the same chip or alchemist chips and bfg 5.4.2 ,or luke fixed it, didn't tell us, not that he has to, he doesn't , guess we wait.

Hello my friends,
stay tuned because I'm working on Minera 0.6.3 (or 0.7 I don't know yet), there will be nothing special but a general update and maintenance work. Debian/Raspbian upgrade to Jessie release and much more.

Hope to complete it soon.
Have a great weekend.

How can I view a proper log of why my Pi is freezing?

It's a Pi 1 (model B), from when they first come out, surely would be fine though?..

I believe the biggest thing is stability improvements. I upgraded from version 0.4.x not that long ago and everything appeared to be generally the same.

I believe that bleeding2323 was just asking about new features in minera. He said that he has been gone awhile.

i have noticed with the latest update, that i can not see my hash, or my miners on the dashboard.  it just has the refreshing marks.  I am using gridseed glades.  I have the right hash on the pools. the gridseed blades have always did some weird things with minera

Just started having a problem about a week ago.

I have 2 gridseed blades running on a raspberry pi and 3 more gridseed blades running on a separate raspberry pi.

Both where running the minera software flawlessly for months.

Then it looked like the screen was reloading and didnt stop.
I can see the miner up time widget keeps spinning
I can barely read thru the screen to check my miners.

I then updated the software to minera 0.6.2 on both raspberry pi's.

Same problem...

Can someone help me out or did I miss this somewhere in the thread?

You should look at the logs. What miner software do you use? Can you see the miner screen (screen -r)?

I am running CPUminer(gc3355 fork) . Yes I can see the screen, but it is hazed over because it is trying to load info on the page. Where would the log file be? I am a windows user and have limited knowledge of linux.

The miners are hashing fine. Just a messed up screen on both raspberry pi's.
