ok im getting a little pissed.... the donation is diabled, but yet it seems to activate and run...

pool: stratum+tcp://ca.simplemulti.com:3333

address: VqSPcvUXVc2tg9sFSKHS8kKGNNZXYTG5sx.2

and push everything else out.... and NO matter what i try or do it keeps popping back up, and pushing my pools and info out of the way.

getting really frustrated.

i dont remember this as the default donation pool or info, if its not, you need to check your git.

That's not the default donation pool info and the Minera Git is very fine. Please check your installation/setup.

Get Minera. Your next bitcoin mining dashboard. Donations are welcome

address: VqSPcvUXVc2tg9sFSKHS8kKGNNZXYTG5sx.2

that .2 on the end makes me think someone has gotten access to your minera, and this is the second machine they have pointed to mining on that address.

means they can keep track of how much they earn of each hacked machine, but still only use a coin address so as to make it harder to track. (ie not a registered user at the site)

If my advice has helped you out, feel free to throw some Satoshi's my way!

I changed my password for the webpage of minera. I used keepassx to generate a password saved it like I've done 100 times but now I am locked out of the webpage.

Is there a way to change the webpage password via ssh? I can still login there with minera/minera.

Nevermind got it sorted ouyt. I just ran install_minera.sh all sorted out

ok used cgminer for a few today, bfgminer isn't finding any of the miners but cgminer works, just not as great as bfgminer was.

since i ran ./install_minera.sh i forgot to run ./upgrade_minera.sh after  Tongue

ok bfg works now.... since i closed all the ports its running ok.

i'll let it run for a  few and see what smokes.

UPDATE:

locking down the router seemed to work, would be cool if mobileminer had pool switching and speed settings.

Ciao Michele,

Will you include in your Minera next release an updated version of CPUminer that supports NeoScrypt?

Cheers,
Marty

Ciao Marty,
in the next release I'd like to add a way to load custom miners (like forks), so probably you could use this feature to load and use your preferred cpuminer version.
Unfortunately, I'm really busy now and I don't know when I will release it.

Have a great weekend guys!

Hi!
I have removed the fan from the Gridseeds and am mining scrypt coins with minera, unfortunately i do not know why, but the miners got so hot that 15 gridseeds burned out after removing the fan. Any ideas what might have caused this?, room temperature is 18degrees celcious. Is minera putting them in dual mode?,

I have 10x Gridseeds, stacked in 2x groups of 5, with only 1 fan left on the top of each stack, mining LTC/DOGE. My errors are a little higher than I used to get, but I think thats more the pool im on now, as the heat of each stack is barely noticeable.

Well, I guess it's time I update my Minera as my R-Pi running 3.5 will no longer stay running...the problems just started in the last 24 hours and no changes were made to my config or the miner. Just out of the blue!

updated to v0.3.8 and imported my settings and totally good to go!

ok well locked everything down, the modem and router, that stopped everything...

i like minera's web interface, ease of use... just freaky when someone gets in and starts sub-contracting your machine for their work. i was having a good run on a ftc coin site, which is probably how they figured where to go to get in the machine (since i've been on that p2pool for a few). now that, that sites down i'll be back on wdc (thanks to neoscrypt).

still its a good easy to use image, really prefer bfgminer to handle all my miners. running cgminer drops my hashrate 300/mhs (kinda weird)

but like i said locking down everything so far has worked. i'll let it run for a few more days and see what happens.

oh yea, i run volt modified miners for scrypt it would be nice if minera didn't start hashing away on sha256 till after things have been set up...

(god knows i love hot coffee but at least give me time to put the cup on my miners)

I'm waiting  for the  next update so i can put this https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=20477.0  in Minera and use the full power if all my Zeus's  i tested it in windows 8.1 , would rather use a PI as my controller.

It's works well on a windows box I would rather use a PI.

The CGminer fork in the Minera works but nothing like the BFGminer fork did in windows, for me.

I would rather use it in minera so far I have not found a UI I like better then minera.

Minera comes with BFGMiner which supports mining with ZeusMiner ASICs. The fork you are referring to was created before there was official support for ZeusMiner ASICs in BFGMiner and, as far as I know, hasn't been updated in many months.

I am losing  like 4 MH in minera using the CGMINer fork and if i use the BFGminer official its even worse .I have to use to use this BFG fork 4.3.1  or https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=20477.0  Smiley . tested it for a few hours on a windows box , it does what the test say in that link.

Yea but how do I get them to work in MInera I lose way to Much Hash using the official release .I looked for hour the other day after i bought two Zeus's then found them and it worked.  Smiley .

right now I  am using the CGminer fork in minera but it drops some hash but nothing like the BFG official does . so I can wait then  lose  4 hash  per Zeus or more.

I m very ware of win it was done but its the only thing that i have  found that works as stated . i waiting for the L1's  may buy  one more zeus sense they  seem to be the  best all around over the  A2 etc all but the  titan , the  titan is sweet but i can't afford the 340 MH miner or id have one .

btw the way it looks and i hope im right and hope the big guys don't mess this up, alt coin miner might be the new home mining. if you don't mind trading them up etc .

Just sharing what works for me Smiley .

If you have a system where the official BFGMiner performs poorly compared to one of these other forks and can setup remote access please send me an email at nwoolls @ gmail. I've tested on ASICs up to 256 chips and not seen any performance issues and would love to address anything outstanding (if you have the time).

Right now I'm fine i wish you all could get BFG to work inside antminer S i asked Luke he  he told me hes trying all i can ask I'm about to set up a PI using a command lines with BFG . but I can set it for remote but I'm not to techly inclined like most here but do what i need to and don't give up till i find what I'm looking for I can be very annoying and persistent till i either know it or  get what i went after . In most cases I  won't ask and look for answers. once i can use BFG with an other OS other then  windows i may . I mean use it with zus miners were it does what it does windows i would rather use BFG any day over CGMIner it seems more stable etc to me but that's me . that said is all i should say .

Hi,

I managed to install Debian 7.5 on my laptop in a oracle vm virtualbox and then installed minera too. minera works when using bfgminer but not any other miner and even then it cant see my asic or gridseed miners. Is there anyway someone could help me out and figure out how to get this to work? is there maybe some sort of driver I am missing in debian for it to see the miners properly? or there something in virtualbox that I need to adjust so the debain vm can see them?

if someone could help me out I would donate some of my hashing time to what ever pool they wanted for a few hours or longer depending upon how much help is needed to get it to work.

on a side note, can minera use both regular usb asic's and gridseed 5 chip asics at the same time? can minera be used to dual mine with the gridseeds?

another question if is possilbe to dual mine, is there some way that minera can do load balance or pool rotation when dual mining. such as have the sha256 pool rotate and have the scrypt pools rotate independant of what each other was first started with?

any help would be appreciated. I am not well versed in using linux distro's so not sure what else to try and do to get it to work.
