Very nice !

Thank you !

Note:
it can detect USB miners running on an old laptop, but it can't find the usb miners I have running on the same RPI (using cgminer too)

oh...before i forget.  (if i already posted this...and forgot...sorry..my memory needs cleaned lol)

I figured out why ...or more likely...how to not let it......  let me start fresh.

on the dashboard, you can enter the pools etc  and add new ones.  and its all great.

However, even if u SAVE there... the pools will clear if the PI reboots....

u gotta go into the ....(forget name argh memory) actual settings of the miner/controller
and add the pools there.... if u save it there, it sticks and will be there on reboot.

again, sorry if i repeated this.   my memory only works when......what was i talking about?

Hey Michelem

Do you install this on the current 0.7.0 Raspnerry PI running minera. [ as the same one my gridseeds are plugged into ]
or can you please provide some specifics for install..
or please can someone post how to get the beta running...? [ does it need a separate system ie stuff like that]

sorry for being ignorant...
Thanks for the patience..

Hello Mineras,
I've updated the beta version of the new Minera, now you can clone the pools but also you can skip to add the pools when you add a miner and let Minera gets them from the online miner.
Then you can also easily select multiple miners for a pool, just click the relative button in the pool repository to get a list of all the miners to be selected/deselected.
Finally I fixed and add sorting to almost every tables (there are still some little bugs but much better than before) and fixed some bugs around.

If you wanna give a try please go to https://app.getminera.com/

Check the help page here https://app.getminera.com/help

But basically, you just need to:

- signup/signin to new Minera
- create a system (there are several buttons to do it)
- check the output of the creation, there is a command line to install your client

You can install it in the same instance of an old Minera.

ok...

I was gone for about a week and 1/2   came back and (after first day) noticed no shares on the pool.

everything was on, but it wasnt 'working'
turned off miner, waiting 20minutes and turned on.
looked at minera, and nothing...

rinse repeat a few times.
shut down minera, reboot minera and so on.

no connection between them...

I THINK the order of start is:
Minera setup first...then Device?

thats what i been doing.  but ofc, my memory flakes, specially when its not working.

about to try other way now Smiley

any suggestions?

------------
Rasperrypi 2 b
Falcon 27mh scrypt.

i'll look at logs if the next thing fails.

apologies ive now got the system up and running and is online in dashboard.
I am running cgminer with api as W:192.168.0.1/24 as my home network is on the 192.168.0. range.
my 0.7.0 minera is running on ip 192.168.0.254
firewall ports for 4028 have been forwarded. and open
if i add the network miner in minera raspberry pi it is working and detecting corresponding hash rate to local miner
but in the beta i cannot seem to find / scan or add manually it says unreachable.
I have 6x gridseed blades connected and all are hashing away fine. will cgminer still be able to be added as a network miner
even though its connected to the same system... ? all seems good from minera 0.7.0 and finding all miners but beta undetectable.

1. must i add the network miner in 0.7.0 minera under network miners ..?
2. what could I be doing wrong for it not to be finding the miner.

Please help. thanks.

my current json is

{
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-allow": "W:127.0.0.1,W:192.168.0.1\/24",
    "log-file": "\/var\/log\/minera\/cgminerdmaxlzeus.log",
    "pools": [
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp:\/\/scrypt.eu.nicehash.com:3333\/#xnsub",
            "user": "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.GSUSB",
            "pass": ""
        }
    ]
}

does this look correct apologies for the ignorance.

I beleive...(and someone else will say...)

the nsub doesnt work in minera.   (a few posts back someone mentioned that)

remove that from the address and try.

im having some issue atm myself.   also trying to connect to nicehash....as my test.

i have another pool listed, and its not going there either... most interesting.

i didnt think to check the forwarding and see if it...'failed' for some reason.

in his address line:  he has hash.com:3333\/#xnsub   for that subscription stuff.  thats all i know about it atm. lol.

My setup is still failing.   says pools not found etc.

the Settings page has the pools, but the dashboard has nothing at all.

I tried to manually add to the dashboard part, but it never seems to save.

i guess my next step is to reflash.

atm the local is showing 208mh/s  (which is odd as it should be around 27mhs) but it'll probably settle in eventually.

worst possible timing ofc.  as its Freezing here.   all that heat i missed out on! Smiley

anyhow...  its running.   have to keep an eye on it ofc. but im Happy!!

Hey Guys also re-flashed SD card reinstalled beta all working great now cgminer is detecting all my gridseed blades.
API now looks to be working so far great job. would love to be able to get a new version to flash to SD but so far
this is as close as it gets. had a really similar setup running from genesis hive also worked great but more for
huge mining farms. thanks Michelem Great work so far am looking forward to future releases...  Wink.

how do we clear the logs on the beta dash.. ? will it be possible to move the windows around.. ?
Even be able to add / remove and resize windows eg. widgets i'm not keen on the logs on the home dashboard.
So far 15 hours up time no issues at all hash rate stays stable I can really say i'm really impressed.

For others running Gridseed G-Blades here is my current config excluding pool configs :

----

  --scrypt --scan-serial gridseed:auto --gridseed-options=baud=230400,freq=838,chips=40 --hotplug 5
  --api-listen --api-allow=W:127.0.0.1,W:192.168.0.1/24 --log-file=/var/log/minera/cgminerdmaxlzeus.log

----

Will it be possible to have a say slimmed down version on the pi with minimal interface as to save some
resources and have the beta dash control everything and the pi just running the miners.. ?

Last Request : Can you please maybe add South Africa Rand - ZAR to the currency list.

am also curious to find out form the community. what pools are you guys running on.. ?

A strange issue is occurring with Firefox.. [ Keeps flashing orange warning every minute but looks random ]
Since the miner isn't online you can't see updated statistics, you can only see the latest one (if there are).

Thanks.

Hey All,

So I decided I'd see if I could get Minera running on an old BitCrane T-110s which has a cubieboard a10 controller.

I got myself a clean MicroSD card and flashed it with the latest Minera 0.7.0 and took the MicroSD card that was in the cubieboard in the T-110s out and replaced it with the Minera MicroSD card.

Now I can't get to any webpage or SSH into Minera or the Jessie Debian shell using PuTTY, as it doesn't appear to have picked up a DHCP IP address, nor did it carry over my old static IP address from the BitCrane Cubian configuration (which is not surprising since that was on the MicroSD card I removed). Any ideas on how I can SSH or web into Minera when I don't know or have a new IP address? Also is it possible that the cubieboard isn't booting this card, which my understanding is that it was built for Raspberry Pi?

Regards,

Chris

Cubieboard is not tested with the SD Card image provided, I could suggest to start with an SD Card with Raspian installed and then follow the steps to install Minera "manually":

Code:
sudo apt-get install -y redis-server git screen php5-cli php5-curl
cd /var/www
sudo git clone https://github.com/michelem09/minera
cd minera
sudo ./install_minera.sh

I have just managed to compile cgminer-gekko and put it in the custom miners directory I start it with --compac-freq 175 and the two miners I have run at about 9.6Ghs each. According to the log I get a lot of lost shares, I have searched and searched but found noanswer. I even opened a ticket with slushpool but never got to the bottom of it. My log extract is:

it is a custom miner, compiled from 'Novak' instuctions and the '--enable-gekko' flag. The only options are logging and append JSON conf both are enabled, nothing about scrypt or algorythm in the help file, manual options are '--compac-freq 175'. Of course the pool and user are set, I have tripple checked these. Out of interest the blue light on the compacs is flashing does that mean a share is found?

The JSON conf is:

Code:
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-allow": "W:127.0.0.1",
    "log-file": "\/var\/log\/minera\/cgminer-gekko.log",
    "pools": [
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp:\/\/eu.stratum.slushpool.com:3333",
            "user": "andythw.pi",
            "pass": "x"
        },
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp:\/\/stratum.kano.is:3333",
            "user": "andythw.pi",
            "pass": "x"
        }
    ]
}

Edit: The worker 'pi' is defined in slushpool, is this a problem? The worker is not setup on CKPool though. I have tried solo pools as well but I lose shares because no stratum share response from pool. Some of the setup instructions I have found mention directing port 4028 through the router to the IP of the miner, I have not as I think its just for external access an I right?

I have even found talk about lost shares on a U1 being down to the USB hub not being able to support two devices at once. I have a ORICO USB 3.0 10-Port Aluminium Hub with 12V/3A UK Power Adapter & VIA VL812 Chip which should be OK for two Gekkos and a USB fan.

I have also tried running cgminer-gekko from a command line in an SSH window but I still lose shares. Still cant find why?
