Hey Mich

Ive been having some issue with my Alchemist, I wasn't before with minera ... i had to go to directly using BFG @ the black screen using SSH without minera .. it sometimes take me hours after i turn the miner off for a few days because of it's power usage, i have to watch it some it still pays good but i can't use it as much and run my A4 tube all most 24/7 but sadly that PI won't install minera  and there is no way i can get it boot from a new SD image , I tried to manually install it .INNOSILICON uses closed software .... and users a old raspberry PI model with there A4's and a board that plugs into the PI that interacts with those model PI and miner ..... or actually controls it all ...that only boots with there software and fork of CGMNIER.

what's happen with the Alchemist is i turn on the miner first, let it run  2 mins then turn on the PI minera is on  .. and it won't all ways pick up all the boards right a way ,like it used to, unless I unplug everything a few times then plug it back in and tune it off and on a few more times.  i tried different PSU's all kinds of others stuff, then I tried it with BFG direct using SSH and all five boards come to life in one try everytime ....   like they used with minera ... just a heads up ...

MY bad it's not minera like i thought, it's the OS for some reason https://www.armbian.com/  OS's stop running lighttpd after a reboot ... they have a major update coming out in a few days , till then i have to use it at the black BFG screen Direct. or use my RPI 3 custom install it works with RPI2 and 3 with Ubuntu 16...

What I mean is, even though it's installed when I go to localhost/minera I get an unable to connect page. Never prompted for a password. Currently searching for a HDMI cable so I can see what my Pis IP address, installed the image on there since the one on my Xubuntu install isnt functional.

Please explain where you installed it. Isn't it a raspberry? Did you install it manually without the SD card image?

I installed it on my main work computer and couldn't access it thru it's web app on the same computer. I'll update when I go to work tomorrow, gonna build out 2 more racks loaded with 2650s. Eventually I'll need management software.

You have to change the default miner with Cgminer.

Here someone did something https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1569129.0

This actually is a great dashboard. I've been using it for a few hours now and it's working great. Sometimes I feel like it walks a but behind the actual stuff that's happening. Like that it has some kind of delay.

Probably just my own internet and it doesn't really bother me.

I hope that I can use this a lot more for a long time!

Thanks.

Sounds similar to my issue with the blades.. I issue  freq settings but only one chip per in each array use that speed. the others all fall to the default 600. i was seeing it when running directly from command lien so I dont think its related to Minera.

Hi to all.
Hope you can help me guys.
I just install Minera few days ago.
First on Mining Profitability shows old info and im not able to remove it. If im mining any crypto scrypt coin its not show it on the list.

Other issue that happend today is that i was hashing with a gridseed g-blade 40chips. and the cgminer continously restarts and on dashboard shows in errors/rejects  NaN%. I been using gridseed for 3 days without a problem.
The log doesnt show any error. just restart the cgminer around every 30 to 40 seconds.

Thanks

Hello and welcome to Minera, first of all Mining Profitability panel has "fixed" data that only me can change from the server. So that's normal.

For the blade problem, try to change the pool and if possible give us the cgminer log.

Michelem thanks for your help.
I reinstall the cgminer and reset the minera and everything goes normal again.
At the end y dont know what happend.

On the mining profitability i dont undestand what you say about fixed values.
If im mining novacoins it not going to be show on that widget in the dashboard?

Thanks

No. It displays only Litecoin and Bitcoin by now and it's not connected to what you are mining. May be in the future....

Does Minera support Claymore's miner ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0 ) ?
And antminer L3+ ( https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=0002017041211583458538J49cKq063A ) ?

Claymore isn't supported by lack of API.

L3+ isn't out yet but I don't think it will have the requirements.

We plan do some L3+ and GPU mining (thinking about two currencies mine - in this case Claymore). But is there any alternative to mine tw currencies in same time and is it supported by Minera?

Do you offer custom development/support of Minera also?

Hello Michelem,

since a few days my Minera installation stops collectiing data for hashrate and WU´s after a few hours uptime.
There is plenty of free space on the Pi´s SD-Card and the file system seems intact.
Do you have a tip what´s the cause for this behavior ?
Regards

Hello there,

I did a fresh install of minera at my Raspberry Pi and it doesn't want to connect with the ethernet.. Any clue?

First step... do the basics.
Check the cords, yup, unplug and replug everything.

which version of pi?   with wireless/without

give more details on the steps you've already tried.
sure, lots of times its something more... but if you list the things you did do...   noone has to think about them first. Smiley

is your router letting the connection in... did you switch the wireless settings for the new setup?

im guessing it got a new ip, and myabe its blocked...

everything else is working but that?   your having trouble with wireless part?  plug it directly, now it works...

IE: pinpoint the problem by elimination ...
