love blackcoin and it's community to death but what's up with the "once you go black, you never go back" it's a racial/sex reference that needs to go asap. We should all stick with "Always bet on black".

Agree 1000% In fact that is the reason why I ignored this coin when it first came out.

Officially they have not been using that since a long while. It's 'Meet black' or sometimes I see 'Always bet on black'

what's wrong with the name though!?
Sorry, what do you mean? Below is a direct quote from the article (I would have thought you would have read it already! : "Still, it’s got a ways to go before it’s competitive with bitcoin and its $8.4 billion market cap, to say nothing of the scrum of other coins, where so many seem to come, get some attention, and then flame out. But if the Blackcoin community can make its differences their selling point, they may have something.
They might want to consider changing that name, too."What's wrong with the name Blackcoin? Sounds perfectly legit to me. I wondered about that too and was wondering if they meant change rat4's name. If they are referring to 'Blackcoin' itself then they are just plain silly.

Blackcoin LOL that's just absurd this coin has nothing to do with race. we are talking about a coin here, not a human being.

I cannot remember it in at least any official or semi official statement for quite a while now. BE A LEADER and ALWAYS BET ON BLACK are the most common taglines.

I'm raising money for the Alzheimer's Society by jumping out of a plane, and I've only got a couple more weeks until I do the jump.. I was wondering if BlackCoin / BitCoin could get involved somehow! I'd love the support from you all, and I promise that any donations given will go straight to the Alzheimer's society, Please see the reddit thread for more information: http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/27eh84/so_im_raising_money_for_the_alzheimers_society/Thank you all in advance! Any questions, I would be glad to answer them! Any chance if some support for this? I'd really appreciate it! Please share, spread and link it everywhere! MrCoins has already donated 125BC!

Most recently in that proposed draft by the MBA rep, one of the "clever puns" I'm assuming: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1h85E8Ih_Y9pnnUOcdluuRvZaksUGsuizuJaxg_s1K0A/edit. It's not a huge deal, but anyone like me would go through it and read certain things and form certain opinions on the fly. I am that way personally and I'm sure there are probably one or two others out there. ive seen it used a few times recently if not "on" a public doc, very "near".

Hello Community! As you might know we've done several events so far around the world to get the word of BlackCoin spread by showing face. TheDoge earlier went to the NY Crypto Con, StGNU ran around at the Toronto Bitcoin Conference and me, maarx and Vizique showed face at BitCoin 2014. Next to that is my own trip to Miami to meet the MaxBorgesAgency and not to forget Vizique' trip to the XBTerminal' Launch Party.
We are showing face and we feel like that is important for the growth of BlackCoin. Not only finding out about new cool projects within the Crypto Currency space, but actually talking to companies that could soon start supporting BlackCoin. Not only does it give trust to the company but it shows these companies that we are serious about BlackCoin.
In two weeks however another important conference is coming up, namely the Bitcoin in the Beltway 2014 conference in Washington DC. We are currently planning to show face there with me, TheDoge and StGNU as a team. However, there are costs.
We have the funds left from the Community Bounty Fund that we have set aside for exactly these things. However since the costs are a bit higher then the usual conference visit we'd like to know your thoughts.
The costs would be: Flight Soepkip - 1300$ Hotel Soepkip* - 250$ Flight TheDoge - 170$ Hotel TheDoge* - 250$ 2x Tickets - 600$
2570$ - BTC: ~ 4 BTC = 14200 BC
There is currently 20800 BC left in these funds, so that would leave us with 6600 BC for future usage. We'd like the approval of the community to use these funds for this trip.
To save costs me and TheDoge will share a room.
Source: http://www.reddit.com/r/blackcoin/comments/27imal/blackcoin_boots_on_the_ground/For ~ 18k BC , we can get McKie, TheDoge, Soepkip in Washington. We already have this money we just need approval. I'm personally fine with this. I think it would be good for them to show face. Would like some reflection on it afterwards, though.
