We encourage you to inquire and investigate the coins you invest in, SilkCoin included. The issue posted by Poloniex was a misunderstanding on their behalf of the implications of MAX_MONEY. Above all else, try not to panic and do some quick searching around for a reasonable counterpoint on here/twitter/#silkcoin on IRC... most of these FUD attempts are people trying to cause dumps in the market so they can buy in more cheaply. FUD without evidence, and especially FUD you can easily/quickly dismiss WITH evidence should be taken as a sign of buy support for the coin - these people are spreading false information for a reason. They intend to buy.
Again, please investigate ALL of your coin investments, SC and every other coin you consider, but be careful to temper the trigger finger - trolls profit off of impulsive people who don't look into the accuracy their paper-thin claims.

the high volume over the past few days was really just a spike. I did not expect it to maintain such high volume for long. Not really a bad thing. With every price spike there's bound to be an adjustment that follows afterwards. Wait for all the panic sellers to sell their coins now, while the smart traders buy them all up and the next pump happens before we even know it.
Let things run it's course, don't worry so much about short term changes in price/volume.

I would not say the coin is not worth having, but would agree it's been pumped really high. Seems like it will settle bout back about 2000-3000, back to 4000 sat my guess |

I would not say the coin is not worth having, but would agree it's been pumped really high. Seems like it will settle bout back about 2000-3000, back to 4000 sat my guess you wish. let me guess, you were thinking about buying in around 3000, but didn't? It happens... Just look at blackcoin, pumped up to 9, them pumped to 40 then went all the way to 90, and now sitting steady around 22-25k sats. 75 million coins. Do you really think, that silkcoin, with its ~50 million coin count, will not end up at ATLEAST 10k sats? 10k is a conservative estimate. my guess is it will end up around 15k, because it has all the features bc does, but i think more money is being put into the marketing of bc, so naturally bc should be a tad pricier. (disclaimer, I am an early adopter of blackcoin who still holds most of his stash) Regardless, I hold silk as well, and I think it reasonable to believe silkcoin could end up at least HALF the price of blackcoin. do I sound crazy? |

It's a good coin. Good coins appreciate in value. Simple as that. At this point, amateurs are buying and selling willy nilly which injects unnatural fluctuations in the price and volume.
