can someone pls tell me which files are necessary and is there some way to retrieve the coins?

Only *.keys file is necessary. It's your private keys, backup it. I posted a lot of times. Wallet.bin is just a cache and it will be recreated again if you run simplewallet --wallet-file wallet.bin again from wallet.bin.keys.

That is what I have done 10 times+ so far.

The problem persits.

I can resync the wallet but the wallet is unuseable, it closes itself after it resyncd. (meanwhile I cant type any commands)

The cache file is named QCN instead of QCN.bin.

My wallet is named, QCN wallet.bin
but only a QCN (file without fileformat) is created.

my keys are:
QCN.keys
shouldnt it be named QCN wallet.bin.keys
Huh

So my files after the resync of the wallet are:

QCN
QCN.keys

while it should be:

QCN wallet.bin
QCN wallet.bin.keys

shouldnt it?

This is the batfile with which i created the wallet 10 days+ ago:
simplewallet --generate-new-wallet=QCN wallet.bin --pass=blabla

This is the batfile to access the wallet:
simplewallet --wallet-file=QCN wallet.bin --pass=blablabla

It worked flawlessly for a week besides the common dust problem.

As stated later the very first deamon and simplewallet works with my files.
However I am unable to send any coins anywhere.
WITH ANY NEW RELEASE MY SIMPLEWALLET CLOSES ITSELF EVERYTIME.
Yes I deleted the .bin files and the whole %appdata% quazarcoin folder and resynced everything and dozen times.
BUT ONLY THE VERY FIRST REALEASE LETS ME USE MY SIMPLEWALLET.

The wallet has atm ~ 180 qcn in it which I would like to transfer to a new wallet.
But this seems like an impossible task.

@ Dev, can I send you my .keys file and can you look into it?

As a side note: I have set up 2 new wallets with the newest client files which work just fine.

I am impressed by CN technology and it's CryptoNight algorithm. Just getting into it and have a lot of questions.
btw, is it really so difficult code to create a gui wallet so that there is a reward for it?

and there can I find how many CN-based coins exist?

Coins listed there on cryptonote https://cryptonote.org.
I could not find a list. Where on the site is it? Thanks

We can ask https://hitbtc.com to add QCN to coinvotes. Let's start pushing, there is blue button "suggest currency" on the bottom of https://hitbtc.com/vote.

Cool, thank you bro, but why it listed as "QCR"? Can you email again and ask them to fix it? If there is a conflict with symbol it seems dev should change it. But i hope it's a Mintpal's typo.

Stop it really, part of your balance locked due to previous transfer. Wait for unlock then send again. It's normal. And mine on good pools with updated software with payout threshold to avoid dust and such problems when you can't send coins because your balance consist of 0.001 dusty inputs.

Guys, please don't bribe craptsy, this exchange made trading impossible and it's a place where PoW coins dying. We have to concentrate on solid high volume exchange like Mintpal.

It's normal that I can't use the amount of coins that my wallet reports as being unlocked? I guess this is a feature and not a bug then...

EDIT: That's probably the wrong way of looking at it though. The issue is that when I transfer coins, my balance goes down by more than the amount I specify.

I've been on hashinvest with their 1 QCN min payout for the last week.

I'm not 100% sure but you can send smaller amounts part by part or waiting when it fits (i think its because of "mixing" funcitons) and yes you should see this as features, because it is a part of the cryptonote technology Wink
You can have a look here for a insight into a standard cryptonote transaction: https://cryptonote.org/img/cryptonote_transaction.png

After deleting my wallet.bin file and restarting simplewallet I seem to have recovered the lost balance. I don't have precise records but it's suddenly gone up by a few QCNs which would seem to roughly match the lost amounts over my last few transfers.  Smiley
