FAQ:

Q: Are you real?
A: Yes

Q: How can you provide such low prices?
A: We always optimize our locations and equipment for best performance and pass the savings to our users via lower prices

Q: Where are your mining locations?
A: Eastern Europe, Iceland, North America and China. We cannot disclose a more detailed information on this.

Q: Can we meet you?
A: Yes! We travel to Bitcoin conferences around the world. Recently we have been to Miami. Updated January 2016.

Q: Will you be releasing more coins we can mine directly?
A: Yes! We already added AUR, LOT, MEC, NOV, POT, VIA, WDC and FTC for Scrypt and BTC, UNO, Zetacoin and BTCD for SHA 256.  More coins are added during the months, decided by user poll: https://apps.facebook.com/my-polls/coinpoll

Q: Are you going to add the option of adding own pools to point the hashpower to?
A: This is something we have on our consideration list, but at the moment its got a lower priority than other things so we have no ETA at all

Q: Will you be offering monthly / weekly subscriptions?
A: We are working on implementing this, but have no ETA yet.

Q: How about other coins than SHA256 or scrypt ones?
A: We think about adding other algo's like X11 in the future, but have no ETA at all

Q: Are you going broke at your prices offered?
A: No. We have a solid finance base and planning

Q: Is maintenance and power included in the contract price?
A: FOr SHA 256 contracts there is a daily fee for maintenance. Please check the contracts for more details. For X11 contracts, the maintenance fee is already included in the upfront cost

Q: How do you handle hardware failures at our allocated hashrates?
A: We compensate failures of allocated hardware with our own buffer.

Q: How can I withdraw my coins after I started with a contract?
A: Just set the payout address in your account settings, payouts are conducted once each day

Q: When I purchase with a Credit Card, why are my payouts held for 30+ days before I get them paid out to me.
A: For security and fraud purposes.

Yes the price is low or reasonable. I just like to ask if this price is fixed for all types of cryptocurrencies? Is it the same for the service to mine between a BTC and an altcoin which is not even a dollar in price?

Hi Martinnew,

thank you for your interest.

I am not sure if I do understand correctly; With using our service you have a certain amount of hashpower for the algo "scrypt" available. At the moment you can let us decide what to mine and exchange it for you to BTC, or you mine LTC or Doge directly. More coins will be added soon.

The price is always the same for the amount of hashpower, no matter what coin you like to mine with it.

Regards,
Genesis-Mining.com Team

I must say that price is reasonable. You have mentioned about LTC and Doge. What about other major Cryptocurrencies like NMC, PPC, MSC. Can I use your product for mining NMC, PPC, MSC?.

@monim1: At the moment you can mine LTC or Doge or let us decide and autoexchange to BTC for you. We will be adding more coins you can mine directly soon. Only coins based on scrypt algo will be possible.

@marife01: That is up to you Smiley But for best profit we recommend using our automatic mining and exchanging service with BTC payout

I was about to sign up for the 1mhash, but noticed you have removed it now and replaced it with 2mhash.

Will have to save up more now ..;( lol

Thanks for the reply.

I noticed on your website you could also customise the amount of hash you wanted to rent from 1mhash upwards etc.

Have signed up... Smiley

Hope to be able to rent some more hash soon as and when.

Thanks

based on this calculator: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/calculator
it is profitable only if the existing difficulty remains the same. but now the next-gen scrypt miners are being shipped, and the difficulty will increase soon. don't know how to make this plan profitable or attractive.

It is always a risk I feel, but for me personally it is not a big risk.

At the moment I have one R9 280x GPU that since I bought it, has been sat whirring away, not 24 hours a day or 7 days a week, perhaps half that,  making a noise, generating heat, costing electricity, giving me around 720Khs. The card cost me around 250 GBP, at todays exchange rate that is 419.75 US Dollar.

Now I can rent 1mhash for 180 USD a year, with about 300 Khash more than I had with the GPU and can now pat my GPU on the cooling fans and tell it, that it is time to rest a little bit now and I will use it for playing some good games instead of having to whir away trying to find blocks.

I know I will not make too much money from 1mhash but for me, I feel good about it.

my another question is: can users specify their preferred mining pools? how to choose to mine different cryptocoins other than  LTC or Doge?

This is some crazy pricing. If I'm reading this right, 1 MH/s would be $140 for the entire year? I paid $400 just to get my 500 KH/s video card (that costs me more every month to run)! If this is the right pricing, that is a massive deal.

How do we know you'll stay in business for the entire year though?

if they use KnC titan, the cost is about 33USD/MHash, Zeusminer around 138USD/MHash. but these are ASIC, and they are not yet in market. Using GPU costs much more than the current offered price.

Yeah, I know that the new ASICs are great. But if they are offering this service already... they must have some hardware (unless they are just hoping that the ASICs will come in before they go broke).
