We need definitly a android wallet where we can put our coin at and stake them there ... staking definitly will work better that way.

Also it should be VeriGood and professional , recognizable label an so on. I except such wallet on 19th july with the release of the flat wallet ui
For all plattforms.

Any ideas?

Today i will donate some VRC in the VeriFund for that purpose

That's something the core devs probably won't be able to get done in that timeframe. If you want, we can try to raise a bounty for someone to make a staking android wallet.

If you would like this, please donate to the VeriFund address in VRC or BTC and reply with your txid and amount donated so we can earmark that for an Android wallet with staking.

Support the VeriFund Endowment.

I was looking for a developer for an android wallet a while ago and it seemed that it would be at least $2000... so let's try to raise at least 15,000 VRC for the Android Wallet project.

Just registered vericoinatm.com

Either I just wasted a perfectly good coupon code or thats the best 2.00 I will ever spend.

Things are sounding really good right now if this goes to plan!

That's not a panic dump. A panic dump is when someone sells a large amount into the buys, namely, dumps straight out of the coin they are in into BTC.

That sell wall is an attempt at market manipulation, that's all. Check the network dynamic stake rate, I think you'll find there are more people staking by holding coins in their wallets than keeping them on exchanges for trading.

+1

At over 14 mil currently staking, the total sum on exchanges is pretty darn small comparatively. That 100k sellwall is there to panic people into dumping, and it looks like it got a few.

If that whale pulls that wall, and the other couple smaller ones that went up that I'm guessing are his, it will take less than 20 BTC to send the price up to 33-35k again.

Never. Panic. Sell.

Hey Pat, why isn't Cryptsy on bitcoinwisdom.com as a trading platform for VRC?  I emailed them but no response...

I asked that question in the Bitcoinwisdom thread, they said somthing about an API & speed issue, which I dont believe is the case any more, considering all of the monstrous network speed improvements that happened @ cryptsy.com in the past week. Literally, their performance has increased by an order of magnitude on their trading engine.

As promised (because its still tonight in America lol) Here is the bigger ANN for the Physical Vericoins:

The coins dimensions will be about 39 mm (1.53543 inches) in diameter and 3.175 mm (0.125 inches) thick, give or take to zero in on 1 oz. They will be made of .999 Fine Silver and feature the Vericoin logo on the face of the coin and the reverse will have a tamper evident hologram to protect the private key. In accordance with US Money Transmitting Laws all coins will be sold unfunded BUT will come with a 10 VRC "Thank You".

There are only about 100 Physical Vericoins planned on being produced, so if you would like to secure one make sure you donate the required amount to the startjoin campaign for these coins.

Donations to get these coins produced can be made here: https://www.startjoin.com/physvericoin

Please note only ONE coin will be given per qualifying donation.

Any further questions you can find me in the Vericoin IRC under the nick socal or PM me here.

Agree with this analysis. Looking for further dev team clarification as I am late the party as usual on this one.
But boy, I am pretty stoked even about being late than not arriving to the party at all. This coin just may have huge implications in the crypto universe.
And correct me if I'm wrong, I believe some more features related "news" is on the way(?) Excuse while I got check the website again.

Ah, almost forgot... just downloaded the wallet. Do I need to do anything to starting staking/interest? Haven't touched the wallet at all yet other than send coins to it...(didnt encrypt, etc.)
Am I go to go for automatically staking?

Good fortune to everyone invested in this coin and thanks to the dev team!

In alpha phase, I've successfully sent VRC to my BTC wallet with no middle man.

Actually that's pretty huge but we do need better info on what rates are being used and whether there are limits to the number of coins that can be sent this way.

For instance, if someone was holding 100BTC-worth of VRC that they needed to send to someone as BTC, could they, when the service is fully released, do so without affecting the overall rate of exchange? The equivalent of a 'dump' of VRC to BTC normally has an effect on the market but I'm assuming that the currently centralised nature of VeriBit has these transactions taking place outside of the normal exchange conditions.

If VRC can achieve this degree of liquidity without the rate of exchange applied being negatively affected for large transactions, then it really will become harder to justify being in BTC at all, given that one can earn interest while staking VRC.

No middle man ... except the Veribit service.

Agreed that this could be a big deal if we can get some clarity about fees, and a response to cryptodevil's query

The fees are clearly stated on the website. It's 2 VRC. The rate is determined by the fee (2 VRC) + the calculated exchange rate across exchanges and orders.

Probably not a bad idea to pick up as many VRC as you can in the next two days. Heh. Heh. Heh.
