Question for the devs: Someone brought up a good point in the Google hangouts (I think) comments. If veribit has to exchange vrc for btc, how can vericoin purchases be any faster than bitcoin? The solution (if you have not already thought of it, and I'm sure you have) would be to use the VeriFund to pre-auth the transaction within seconds (fewer confirms?), and then the transaction slogs through the bitcoin network as per normal. Is this the case? If so, it should be made public knowledge to quench some of the fud out there. If it's not the case, feel free to use the idea.
EDIT: Also, I am still concerned about the 2 VRC (now 1 VRC) transaction fee. I think for VeriBit to be accepted, the fee should be a percentage of the transaction value. I'd pay 1% up to a max of 1 VRC per transaction. Like I mentioned earlier, if VRC is at 0.25 BTC and BTC is at $1000 USD, no one will use VeriBit. Until VeriCoin is accepted natively, this seems like a fair fee to pay for the convenience.

Hello Community! -I'm brand new here, but I have read numerous member's concerns here and elsewhere regarding the silver physical Vericoins, and I just wanted to paste this in here- (I bought mine yesterday) Taken from the StartJOIN website: https://www.startjoin.com/updates/project/physvericoinThanks to everyone for all the work you put into this (and other) forums- this has helped me stay informed, but alas, I feel I should join in, though I will admit that I really doubt I will contribute anything usefull for some time! Veri NOOB, I have so much to learn.

No one has to worry anything about the Vericoins, silver coin, the guy behind the startup who is making the coins is a solid member of vericoin and in the real world.
The guy will deliver on time and not only that, he is going to over deliver with extra perks for those who bought the first batch.
I certainly could not be happier with my purchase and will show my nice silver coin off all over the place when it arrives. Also, i noticed a big wallet that was taken from twitter i think, thats where i posted it.
The guy has over 700k Vericoins and is building on them, this my friends, is a clear indication of the things to come. This guy would of sold if he had the faintest doubts over what is being planned.
But quite the opposite, that guy who owns those coins know he is going to be a multi-millionaire by the end of the year or most likely sooner.
The wallet will soon be released and there will be more big buys, right now VRC is only 47k sats... this will look like a great bargain in a few days from now!

I wholeheartedly(?) agree! I was referring to the persons who were concerned about not receiving a COA at the $50 level. Now everyone will get one, thanks to the creator. How veri cool.

This coin is going to be worth big bucks if they leave it at batch1. But i'm afraid they build alot of batches of which the coin will be valued at silver price instead of uniqueness.

Hi All
Got the domain name.... VeriCoin.com.au and will build it out to help grow the coin and bring it to the attention of the Australian community.
I will be turning the site in to a news channel for the coin with youtube videos on it like the vericoin google hang out ones..
A price ticker... and links to great twits and anything related to the coin.
Will also try and add a sub domain to it fauct.vericoin.com.au just to try and help people get some coins.
As more ideas flow I will be adding them...
I will also be adding professional flyers to the site in pdf format that people can download and print out and share with their friends or post it on there local community boards or notice boards at work...
I also have some 3d cartoons in the work and some other marketing material that I will share from the site as I get it posted... everything will be free and can be used to help promote the coin in your local area..
Not just in Australia But where ever you may be.
Going to try and help this coin as much as possible... Enjoy the ride all..

Order book looks big but charts say other direction Did you see the 1 hour RSI and MACD? Yep, but they can get stretched further (see earlier dates). The long-term lower trendline really needs to be touched again so for me it's either down or sideways for a while. Added to this the fact that we have just finished some serious pumping - it will take more than another Google hangout to get the train rolling again.

I'd rather have a bit more substantial correction now than continued growth to the point that when the real correction finally hits it sets us back weeks. With a long term coin like this, it strengthens the base of holders every time - gradually funneling more coins away from weak hands and into long term holders. I say bring on the bear for a bit. I'll happily keep staking.

Agreed, and the market cap has a ways to go. So bear country is good... If the intentions of the "f'n manipulators" is to create more buy-in, then I'm ok with them.
