Bitcoin today is what the internet was in 1998.

I don't think there should be a referral program...  I encourage most sites to have one, but I don't think GLBSE is one of them...

I dont know about referral programs but maybe a "reward program" or a "loyalty program" is a good idea. Imagine if you got frequent flyer points for using glbse which plenty of "serious" businesses are part of.

These are points you can use to redeem for things like gift cards.

http://www.punchtab.com/  has a good system.

Hey, how is it possible that every time I place a bid that goes to the top of the list, s second later another bid moves above mine?

It's pretty unlikely that someone if re-fetching the HTML every second...
Is there some real time feed with the new bids/ask, like the one with the trades?

Because if there is such a feed, please tell us about it - otherwise it isn't fair that only chosen people have access to it.

Oh. Indeed - I knew about depth API, just forgot... Smiley
This is much more likely than re-fetching HTML - thanks for the tip.

So there is no real time feed with the orders?

I'm seeing that after someone had managed to trade -16 shares of USD the site got shut down. It's been down for over 2 hours already.

I'm new to creating my own assets on GLBSE, so here are some naive questions:

1) Is there a tutorial on creating assets with GLBSE 2.0?

2) So I created my asset, paid my fee and have a new account for my asset.  What's next?

I don't see any shares on my account page, will they miraculously appear at IPO date, or do I need to add them manually (although I had to specify them at asset creation time)?
How and when do I specify the price per share?

3) Verification: Will I be contacted or is it expected that I just email my ID to somewhere (where exactly)?

Thank you!

Now you wait until after the IPO and you can sell your shares.  The number of shares you initially put in for IPO will appear in your portfolio page on that asset account after the IPO time is over.  Then to sell you sell them like any other asset you own.  You go to that asset page and put in the quantity you want to sell and for how much.

You need to contact GLBSE.  I would suggest you encrypt your personal information when sending it to them.

Thank you!

How do I submit my ID to GLBSE for verification?

I sent an email to support@glbse.com and a PM to the GLBSE account at the forum, no response.

On their site I read that they verify ID on Friday and I should submit prior to that day to avoid delays.
How can I, if they don't respond to my requests?!

I would like to send it encrypted, and am waiting for their instructions. But nothing.  Undecided

My asset goes IPO on Saturday, and I would like to get ready, so could I get some response by you (GLBSE) please?

Look at nefario's portfolio page.  It has his email address and public key there.

Nefario has been having some problems with his connectivity since he landed in China the other day. Please be patient and he will get it resolved.

Can someone give me tips where to invest and whats not trustworthy? I think i wont invest where no dividend were paid till now or where dividends were paid in the past but not in the last time. Regarding verification... i think everything there can be faked, plus everyone from india can open an asset so thats not worth much when it comes to scam.

So what would be your tips?

Thanks!
Sebastian
