@nefario, @mila, thanks for clarification. I am sorry if I am asking questions on topics that are already explained somewhere, in that case just please give me a link.

So...

1. IPO is just the date of creation of shares.

2. Amount of shares created will correspond to the value specified at "Shares for sale in IPO".

3. When shares are connected, they are under issuer's control.

4. That means the issuer can either sell them at any time and any price, or leave them for himself, or send them to somebody.

Is that correct?

Thanks!

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Not sure what the hell that means, but you're correct for all the other ones.

3. When shares are connected, they are under issuer's control.

4. That means the issuer can either sell them at any time and any price, or leave them for himself, or send them to somebody.

just a minor technicality
when you issue shares, they are credited to the sub-account of the issuer
your main account pays the fee for IPO and controls the account of the asset manager
but the shares appear and remain in the asset manager account unless they are sold or transferred

shares not moved out from the asset manager sub-account do not receive vote right in motions nor dividends
if you want to become owner of shares of your issued asset, please transfer them to your 'main' user accout

and yes, you can offer them for sale or keep them or transfer

Very basic account to account transfers have been implemented.

If the server cannot find the account you're trying to transfer to it'll just throw up an error, other wise it will tell you why.

basic indeed but working somehow.

I managed to transfer shares to another user but I was not able to use the email as identifier for the transfer. only user name.
the error msg with email was internal server error. with transfer shares to nickname no confirmation showed up (or I did not notice) but transferred shares were properly accounted in the portfolios (debit at sender's account, credit at recipient's side)

but that's already good enough for use : )

do you check somehow if the transferred shares already voted or can I just pass around 1000 shares and vote each time I receive them?
no way to test this as a user, the tally button at motion page is not there yet.

I tried to create an asset, and got "Internal Server Error". Is this feature functional?

do you try at http://dev.glbse.com or https://glbse.com ?
the first url is a test site with dummy/play bitcoins, second is the real site with real coins used.

I lost track about which server has which features and fixes
as far as I tested the dev.glbse.com site, IPO works
and since the switch to 2.0 in https://glbse.com already 3 or more new assets were created so it works for some folks.

I'd like to ask you to keep the values you use for your asset in a text file and copy paste them so that the problem could be reproduced by someone who has access to the internals of the server (read nefario). his first question would be what was your input in the form.

I tried https://glbse.com/asset/create. I kept the values and tried again in the new browser tab - and it worked!  (maybe the form in the original tab had been expired?)

Anyway, I see it is working now. Great stuff! Thanks!

that's great news. not sure about the expiration of a form but you maybe hit a time when server/software was quickly updated and all sessions were dropped (authentication) or some of the fields caused the internal server error. I get them a lot but mostly when I try to access pages that are not there, like https://glbse.com/ipo/5 instead of https://glbse.com/ipo/4 or transfer shares to an email instead of a nick name. those errors will be eventually all caught and reported as a nice human readable message ...

can you also share some details about your asset? (is it AA? thread or forum where you discus it, etc.)

Yes, it is AA. I don't have any reasonable business plan yet and haven't made detailed contract. Was in hurry to take this little nice 2-letter ticker symbol for Anonymous Ads with minimal obligations Smiley

Thanks!

https://glbse.com/client/glbse/index.html
bad gateway ... this url used to be GLBSE 1.0 where users could get their claim codes?

is it down intentionally (page moved) or to be fixed?

IBB had created an account at GLBSE for me long while back. I was using https://glbse.com/client/glbse_old/index.html to check out my shares. This link states 502 Bad Gateway. All that I know is, insert the ID and private, check my shares for dividends & that's it, other than that I have no idea how to operate this site.

How do I insert my ID and private key to login?

Has my shares been lost?

Also I need to say that this link is really old, I think it works but if it doesn't we don't support it, we stopped using that one well over 6 months ago.

Edit:2

I'll just prob sell my shares, I can tear down a motor and put it back together, but this GLBSE dont make sense.

Yep, head over to glbse.com and create an account if you don't have one.
Go to your portfolio and enter your claim code (this will import your accounts from GLBSE1.0)

which one do you like pekv2 , glbse 1.0 or 2.0?

I dunno, which ever one works where i can see my shares lol.

Edit:
Done! Thanks guys. It is much easier to have lastpass take care of the login instead of using private key and ID to login.
