On an asset's information page, there is an "Old motions" link, but I didn't see any 'Outstanding motions' link. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough?

Right. I believe the old motions link refers to a list of past motions that have ended, whereas an outstanding motions link would list motions that you can still vote on.

Sorry, didn't read your post correct. You asked for outstanding motions.
Isn't that the 'Motions' link at the top in the menu between mail and settings?

OK, I missed that. It seems that only allows you to see motions for bonds which you own. Maybe Nefario could implement a motions link in the asset description page?

If this is a wishing thread then I would please like to have a possibility to fetch my transaction list outside the browser session, using the "Private GLBSE API"

And also, it would be nice if you could put some reference (at least a ticker name) in the "fee" rows of this list - so one could easily figure out to which  buy/sell/transfer transaction the fee actually applies. Because some fees appear on the list before, while other after the transaction...

My point was: please make the zone configurable in the user profile, or use javascript to display local time of the browser - almost every webpage has such functionality nowadays.

It's an inconvenience, rather than a problem.
Seeing any time of a past transaction or a dividend, I need to add 6 hours to get the idea of when it actually happened.
Though, probably after a year or so of decoding GLBSETime, I will learn to do it much quicker and it won't be inconvenient any more..

"Trade on the NYSE and earn 0.001% commission on the trades of your referred peers!" - It just doesn't sound right... also why should they need a referral program? There rather needs to be some better documentation and/or some "demo" page for people to test how to buy shares and trade (maybe make a monthly reset and award something to the person with the best test trade portfolio?), not another bunch of people who loose money on rookie mistakes.

Exactly, which is why I want to make sure I get in on the top (of the pyramid)...

FACT: if you had a referral program, I'd be getting you more users and hence more money.

FACT: I am not including GLBSE in my conversations with potential bitcoin users because there is no referral program at this time.

Plenty of new things get started by word of mouth which is why referral programs happen. 

I'm sure if you had a small stock exchange, you would offer people referrals if they brought you new accounts.  Just like personal asset managers likely send you a $100 Applebees gift card if you get them a new client.

So if you prefer to give Applebees gift cards for new stock brokerage client accounts, that's cool, but I small percentage of their fees would be more affordable for GLBSE in their infancy.

Also you could simply act as a broker for them and take some profit there.

I always hated Tradehill for the spam it created. If GLBSE goes this route, it might as well do other stupid stuff like embedding advertisments on the site.

I'll add that to my list of 50+ things bitcoin to look into and promote.  There's only so much time in this world and I have to pick & choose, research & promote. 

I only promote things once I'm going to get something out of it (personal gratification is sometimes enough), once I understand it, once I have the time to explain it and once I get an audience.

Those are a lot of dominoes that need to fall for this to happen, but adding a referral program helps with the first one.

I don't know what Spam you're talking about.  If people choose to spam referral links, then I'm sorry for that business practice, but it certainly is not my own (most of the time - signatures not included)

I don't think there should be a referral program...  I encourage most sites to have one, but I don't think GLBSE is one of them...
