I used these files on a test laptop, and worked fine for me. Please double check the old ones have been removed first, then extract the new ones provided. Can simply move the old ones to a new folder, so can easily rollback if required.If you try to open the wallet using the old files it will give an error, that it cannot open the blkindex.dat file. I get fatal error when using the blockchain files so looks like I have to download the blockchain manually  Wallet update here, no issues, a slight hang on the initial start up but I'm talking maybe 8-10 seconds Thanks Dev |

I get fatal error when using the blockchain files so looks like I have to download the blockchain manually Once with other coin, not KTK, I got an error on my virtual Windows XP when I tried using blockchain from the Windows 7. On another Windows 7 this blockchain loaded fine. The problem was with the index file. Solution. 1. You can rename new blk0001.dat to the bootstrap.dat and start the wallet. 2. You can use the option -loadblock=c:\new\blk0001.dat - loading blocks from blk0001.dat to the wallet blockchain. You should remove old blockchain before updating. |

I'm using Win 7 and I had the fatal error. I just renamed blk0001.dat to bootstrap.dat (as prix said) and copied it to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\KryptKoin. Now it works fine. Thanks prix. |

Thanks Prix!  It's odd, because the files are from a win 7 and tested on a win 8! ========== Run out of time to do the draw for the Fury last week, finishing the spreadsheet and then I'll announce the day for the draw for this week. |

I'll wait until Thursday in case any amendments need to be made. The draw will be on Friday. If everyone preferred I didn't do the draw, which I can understand for transparency. Anyone have a suggestion for a trusted BTT member who would do it and record a video?
