It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

UPDATE :

After the next 5 Signups I am closing registration for a while.

At the end of March all users who stopped mining with us will lose access to their BETA accounts in order to make room for new accounts so if you want to retain your BETA account now is the time to start mining again.

You can delete my account but I have approximately 0.012 BTC that have not been paid.

Thanks !

I send you a email response but if you want to resolve this in public then so be it.

You didnt follow the rules, you mined for just a few hours and forfeited the bonus pps for way back in february when you last mined with us.

Everyone is aware and thus far you are the first that forfeited bonus pps earnings even though its so small I have no obligation to pay it out since you agreed to the terms of the pool when you first started to mine and was well aware that you will lose the bonus pps earnings.

Funny thing to say, Clipse.

Last time ( a while ago ) you told me that you did not want to give me 0.012 BTC because the TX would be very big. You told me that I would have to pay the TX fee or something like that or mine more until I have a bigger payout.

Now you are trying to get 0.012 BTC out of me by saying that I somehow forfeited it Huh

So which is it ? You did not want to pay the TX fee OR I forfeited the payment OR you just want to avoid paying me my 0.012 BTC ?

Erm, I told you I am willing to pay you the 285 shares you submitted once you reached higher balance, yes its silly to send 0.012 BTC but I dont have the energy to deal with childish attitudes after you decided not to follow the basic rules.

I am sending you the 0.012 BTC minus TX fee of 0.0005 since you so badly want this and from my POV its absolutely silly to send such small amounts.

Please dont bother joining us again, you continously stated you will be mining with us and never returned, it was a favour from me to still allow you to receive these bonus coins in good nature that you were promising to come back after you fixed your mining rigs not to mention the first payment you received in fully way back start of February you also didnt even bother to follow the basic rules that ever single other miner is following and until this date behaved accordingly.

EDIT: I just send you the 0.015 balance, I hope it was worth all this fuzz.

I will be expecting a full payout on Thursday.

Since you misunderstood the pool rules and mined just the single day I will honour the bonus pps, thats not a problem.

I welcome anyone else mining with us to come forward if you didnt receive payments from us, I assure anyone reading the last few comments that bulanula is the only person thus far who seems to claim being unpaid something he wasnt owed even though I now also paid that out to him.

Thus far I have paid every single miner in full without any of these issues.

@Clipse, I have to say I'm very pleased with your pool. I'm also thankful for the email updates whenever something is happening. I hate having to go look at a pool's thread to see if anyone else is experiencing a problem or if the pool is having downtime. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, the email I got was rather specific on being penalized for not upholding the minimum requirements... that was sent March 7th..  so not sure about these ppl, if they signed up before then and there wasn't any warning or what.

I had a lot of strange problems w/ the pool being unstable but still stable enough as to where it didn't always kick over to my backup server.  Then came the June temperatures in March (my plan has been to move these systems to an outdoor shed, but I haven't even finished w/ the insulation yet... cause I thought I had about 6 more weeks of 75o or less temperatures..).....   lots of heat issues there, so sold off some of my cards.

And then we had some bizarre 50% rejected shares issue (which may have been a connection issue, not sure)... so, I haven't mined much lately there... but I still did get paid the 0.02526109 for the shares I did last cycle  Grin... never had any problems w/ receiving the payments (although an automated or at least manual payout would be nice).

anyway, it does say "beta".  and clipse does send out emails to keep you informed, so..

I'll probably give it another whirl before that Apr 1st deadline now that my heat issue has been resolved (although I've given up about 1.5ghz at night and 2.5ghz during the day, sigh..).

Thanks for the good words.

Since day one Ive send the same email contents regarding the rules to everyone, thats been unchanged.

Im fair in everything I do and if people come to me and discuss an issue rather than demand something outright, I am allways open to listen and more importantly more likely to side with the user.

Alot of things still need to be done, I put the pool stability at super-priority which led me to only deal with that up till now but that would change soon as things get stabler and hopefully I can work towards the final things I wanted to finalise in March allready.

Some times, all my miners show this (at the same time):

Code:

 What is this?!

I never saw this messages using CGMiner (2.3.2) with others pools...

Thanks

Hi

Sorry about that, that occurs right after I reset the pool, for some reason cgminer still try to submit old shares as the pool comes back up since cgminer in fact never realised the pool was reset.

This will occur still from time to time until I figure out how to stabilise some aspects of the server.

Im trying to narrow down on a couple of issues this week that woud improve alot of aspects of the pool.

I've been getting a huge number of connection issues and stales using Phoenix and phatk2.

[02/04/2012 17:22:59] Result: 185f8fc3 accepted
[02/04/2012 17:23:01] LP: New work pushed
[02/04/2012 17:23:10] Result: 3a894c7c rejected
[02/04/2012 17:23:15] Result: a6abab88 rejected
[02/04/2012 17:23:16] LP: New work pushed
[02/04/2012 17:23:19] Result: c9081322 rejected
[02/04/2012 17:23:34] Disconnected from server
[02/04/2012 17:23:43] Warning: work queue empty, miner is idle
[02/04/2012 17:23:45] Connected to server

It usually doesn't seem to kick me out to my backup pool, but it is enough that I'll swing wildly between 0 and 2GH/s in my 5 minute averages. Stales are up around 3%, which is 10x higher than what I seem to get with Slush or BTC guild.

Any ideas what I could do to improve this, or is it a serve issue?

Its back up as per email, no one is getting penalised.

Something with dns servers failed horribly as I went to bed, go figure :/

Is the pool experiencing difficulties? It's punting me out to my backup pool pretty regularly after 5 or 10 minutes if I try to connect. It's been really solid the last day or two before this.
