I think the only thing that brings coins massive popularity now is a pump, not the features.
They might help but ultimately people will lose interest unless there are constant pumps
that keeps the hopes of a large profit alive.

I completely agree with you...There are some great coins out there, but a good amount of them never get a huge amount of press...Usually, however, the users just say 'Oh, this coin will get noticed solely because of it's features' so they never promote it.  So, keep up the tweets and stuff!

Need something done in C??  PM me!!

when the recycler goes public, the coin will have a natural pump as people trade in old garbage coins for mastiff. mastiff can be the darling of the altcoin community for a long time.

that's what happened with fluttercoin. the only coin with proof of transaction and the dev thought innovation would be enough to make it popular and didn't focus on promotion. sure it hasn't died, but it's taking forever for it to get popular. mastiffcoin dev has a better grasp on promotion though and is getting a nice good slow burn up to the big features that are coming out.

Maybe explain better why the improved coin recycling is so good. And then twitter the advantages.

Short-term pumps are not ideal for long-term growth of a coin's market cap.. steady progress is the key Smiley What other coin have you seen launch recently that has held value like MAST has? We've seen some small rises and falls on MAST, but overall the price has stayed in roughly the same area. Of course we would all like to see 0.002, 0.005, 0.01 btc/mast, but what good does that do if it happens for a day or two then falls? What we really want to see is for it to reach those levels in a sustainable way so the price stays there and continues to grow beyond that.

i agree, i just wish the volume was higher and more people were finding out about this coin. it's like a diamond in the rough and people are just walking right by not noticing it.

Recently, coins added through the Mintpal voting system are dying once they get there. It's not safe anymore to be added through the voting system,  people have caught up to the scheme of pre-pumping before it gets added and dumping once it's there.

Coins that don't have active mining on them are harder to promote, because no one can acquire them easily except by buying. Those are two "extra" benefits that CoinRecycler provides - 1) allows people to acquire MAST by recycling their unwanted coins, 2) there will be a lot more attention to it every time we add a new coin

Do you guys think the logo and the branding could use an upgrade, in order to appeal more to the general public? If I hadn't researched this coin and just came across it through a glimpse, it looks like a tight niche mastiff dog lovers coin with no corporate branding and mass appeal.

I hope this advice will be taken kindly and I'm not fudding. I believe in this coin and have been accumulating at these insanely cheap prices.  Grin

i think people correlate it with dogecoin. and doge has flopped pretty hard. its one of those psychological components that prevent people from getting into mastiff, IMO. i swear if it was called secretcoin, and every single thing was exactly the same, it would be at 50k satoshi right now, even before the recycler.

Yea I agree. It should be called Master, (MasterCoin MSC was meant to do the same thing as the recycler does I think), Mask or Shift and more importantly if the logo was changed to something simple yet elegant (Dark and Cry logos) and the branding was focused on the features instead of the Tibetan Mastiff dog, then it would easily be in the 50-100k range even without the coin recycler fully implemented and released yet.

I mean if popular coins like Dark, XC or VRC released a working recycler today, prices would double or triple instantly. Its the best innovation in crypto imho other than anon (and anon is more of a fad than and a long term game changing innovation, again in my honest opinion).
