Someone please explain how it works. You can send text messages to all tac wallets, or just 1? do you use coins to send the messages or do you not need coins?
How many coins exist currently? there will be many millions mined each year indefinately, so there is no coin max?

It's a public chat for now, everybody can see. In the next update the coin will have also encrypted and descentralized messages between two address, so it will be totally anonymous like bitmessage for example.

You need 1 coin to send message to avoid spam, but the cost will change with the price in the future.

Around 3millons. You can check here in some hours when the block expliorer finnish syncronizing: http://talk.cryptocoinunion.com/

For now it's not a maximum, but maybe will be interested has some POS feature or something in the future together with the chat or something... The community and dev team will have to decide about the future. For now you can vote for the next reward if you want Wink

Hypertext messages

This feature will be not implemented, some people could send virus-infected links.

User channels with % of message fees go to the channel

In a next release, TAC chat fees and voting fees will be removed from circulation (sent to first genesis block, the genesis block coinbase is not spendable), this will be a good means to increase the velocity of coins, money will be continuously created and destroyed.

I finish your first two bounty:

Waiting your coins....
Cheesy
Will you add a rpc call port to the wallet to get the message in talking, so that i can add to the explorer...
Cheesy

Great! Thank you for the work!

I'm waiting for finnish the syncronization with the network Smiley

I bought a few thousand today for 3k sat. This is the first coin I have ever bought that I don't care about the price. I want them not for speculation but because it's a really cool idea and they will actually be useful as opposed to pretty much every other scamcoin, who's only use is to make more btc.
What a concept, not feeling like I'm holding some worthless vaporware that I'm hoping to dump on some sucker for more than I paid. I really think this could skyrocket because of this feeling of owning something of actual value and use.

You did good. The first day on bittrex I could sell my coins on bittrex for some bitcoins, but I holded because I didn't want to dump the price, and I really believe on the future of this coin. Dev is working all the time in new features and developments and caring for the future of the coin, so only with that will be a success soon. Just patient and help in all things that we can. Smiley

what settings to use 280x, 270, 7950?  Angry

Hi this is my setup

280X -k talkcoin --thread-concurrency 8193 -I 19 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 - around 6.4 Mh/s core 1100 , memory 1600
270 -k talkcoin --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 20 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 - 3.5 Mh/s core 1120 , memory 1500
7950 -k talkcoin --thread-concurrency 8193 -I 19 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 - 5.2 Mh/s core 1030 , memory 1500

Cheers

Talkcoin-miner depends greatly on AMD driver. So you should get more hashrate with the 14.x driver. But for stability problem I must stay with 13.12 driver and satisfy with 6mhs for 280x
My settings
--thread-concurrency 8192 -I 23 --lookup-gap 2 --worksize 256 -g 1 -core 1100

Anyone has a good setting for R9 290? Thanks

I could say that you are lucky. It is the same like buying DRK @ 0.0001 / BTC when it first comes out.
Unfortunately my BTC are all in DRK right now so the only way for me to get TAC now is mine and hold.
Yeah that feeling is nice, not like some shitcoins you buy and waiting for the hype to dump.

Yep look at JackpotCoin. At first I thought it was a silly idea and that coin is a joke. Dumped my 30mil JPC @ 2 sat. Now it is like 3 weeks straight in top profit coin charts and growing everyday. TAC is even better than JPC in many aspects, so this coin would be a real deal in the future. I'm investing and mining this coin like no tomorrow Cheesy
[/quote]

I bought 10m jpc at 3 sat, got impatient after a week or so and dumped them for 3 sat. Sux doesn't it?  Grin
It's funny, pretty much every first impression turned out to be right, but most times I lost confidence in myself and dumped before the gains happened. Every time I have ever dumped for a loss the coin came back over my original buy in shortly after. I've got to start adding patience to my gut reactions, which fade quickly when price doesn't move or sinks, tough thing to put into practice.
When I first looked at XC price was below 4k sat, it was its first day on Bittrex. After a minute of looking at the ann page I had this huge gut feeling that this was the one, this was going to go up huge. I bought 12k at 4k sat. That night it went on Pol and I dumped half of them when it hit 20k. I read the ann thread and had a fishy feeling about things, like it was another BANK, DRM or Liberty scam promising anon that would never happen. I went out had some drinks, thought about it more, came home and dumped the remaining 6k at 10k sats.
Classic case of sticking with your gut, which I wish more than anything right now I could go back and do it over. I ended up going back in at 100k and sleeping through the crash, my 3 btc profit should have been at least 50 btc. Very tough lesson.

I hope so, I have 1 system which is completely unstable with current miner (30min best run), and another which can run for several hours before crashing...and third which can run 24/7 and no problems at all. weird.

Well I never take JPC seriously to be honest. That coin is so so like a joke. Sorry some JPC holders in this thread but it is the reason I don't think that coin would go anywhere. So I have mined almost 50mil JPC in total and dumped for around 4BTC in total. Yeah big mistake. But what I learn from this mistake is if a coin is backed by a whale (or a few), it could be explode. Maybe it could not make bank for you, but earning more than 10 BTCs is possible.
Right now TAC isn't still backed by any whale, so its potential is very big. So Im still accumulating many TACs as possible and waiting for this opportunity.

I tell you what Amph. Talkcoin is like JPC in term of nVidia vs AMD.
JPC miner for both is not optimize and so Talkminer. Try it to mine TAC and you will surprise, the profit of TAC is on the same level as JPC last 4 days. Of course now there are not much buy order like JPC when it first came out, but remember TAC is only 4 days at exchange.

Dear TAC users/community,

First please excuse me for my bad english.

Like I have stated here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.msg7213022#msg7213022

I think almost all TAC current specs and future plans are perfect, except one thing: the block reward voting system.
The voting system sounds democratic at first, but it's actually not. It's very easy to manipulate with a handful of people.  It should be get rid off because it scares the investors. Who will buy at this price when the next days you could have 3 times or even 20 times more. An perfect example of such coin is HVC. Very innovative coin with big IPO, much more support at first than TAC now, but still, almost like goes under the cellar everyday.
So I will ask some of your opinions first before I post a poll for community to decide whether we should remove the voting system. This request will be sent to talkcoin dev.

Thanks,

Regards,

Sounds interesting - after i set up the wallet I recognized there is no block source available. Do you have additional nodes or how do you set it up?
