I cannot use this miner because it crashed when I put I 15 on my 270x and 290 non x. and it is slow when I put g2, w 128 and 8120 on my tc.

using 13.12 , w7 64 bit, expecting an improved perfor. with 14.4 Huh

no gain over shp-sgminer.

shp-sgminer or this one : (R280x) 2.3MHs (with
Quote
sgminer.exe --kernel x11mod --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 15 --gpu-engine 1180 --lookup-gap 2 -g 2 -w 256 -o stratum+tcp://stratum.luckypool.cn:3350 -u azhago.mast -p x
)

2% fee version : 3.4MHs

EDIT : ok, i found why : if you use a .conf file, be sure to remove "kernel" : "darkcoin" line

I can get cca 3Mh on my MSI 280x, but only 1,5Mh with Sapphire R290. Any ideas what should be settings for R290? This is my current config (280x,280x,290)

sgminer --kernel x11mod -o stratum+tcp://useast.blackcoinpool.com:3333 -u UserName.1 -p x -g 2 -I 15,15,15 -w 256,256,512 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192,8192,20480 --gpu-memclock 1800,1800,1500 --gpu-engine 1090,1090,1000 --gpu-fan 60 --gpu-powertune 20

I configured my rent'able miner if you want to see live stats with me, this one usually averages 7MH/s, seems to be about 10 MH/S

What settings for 5870?
With this settings: -k x11mod -I 15 --gpu-fan 55 --temp-cutoff 95 --gpu-engine 920 --gpu-memclock 1250 --worksize 256 -g 2
I get only 1.3 Mh/s

Pretty sure it's not optimized for the 58XX or 59XX series.

Try to change
1.
-I 15 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2
or
2.
-I 15 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2

Unfortunately, not optimized for any cards, only tested on GPU I have (280x, 270x).

Can you try to change worksize to -w 128?

All my 280x show between 2.9 to 3.2 MHs, and my p2pool and also other central pool (hiro) shows same values as the miners.

So works for me.

My 290 seems really slow compared to most running X11. Regardless, using this miner I went from 2.35 m/hs to 2.55 m/hs! Stats are incorrect with the miner, but my pool is accepting shares and reflecting the higher hashrate. Thanks for putting this out!

i just used this, 1100 core/1500 mem 3.1MH/s, you can go to 3.4MH/s but you need to rise the core too much(from 1100 to 1200, this mean more consumption too, just for a mere 10% increase...), i don't think it's worth it

-k x11mod -o  -u  -p  --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 15 --lookup-gap 2

7970 - same hash as 2% version = 3,000 Mh per card /+-0.5%/  WU=0.040-0.055

Code:
-k x11mod -I 15 -w 256 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1050,1050 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 --gpu-powertune 20

but I can't set more than 1050 gpu engine. If more, there is some issue with hw errors or so.../unstable/
I will try 14.4 beta for compare

interesting is that on same rig with 2x7970:
2% ver ~ 6,090 Mh - WU=0.085 - pool worker diff = 1000-1200
This ver ~ 6.000 Mh - WU=0.095 - pool worker diff = 1500
