Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Running 14.6 beta on my 7950. No increase in performance but it looks a bit more stable. Am still on the 'normal' b2 release of the miner though.

Had someone succeeded on running htis mod on older gen Radeons?

I tried on 5850 and 6970
It compiles, runs and  NO accepted shares. Just HW increasing

Previous version, which was giving 2-2.1MH on 290 runs fine on these radeons
Using Cat 14.4 because prev version needed these to increase performance (on 13.12 there was no gain)

5xxx/6xxx
Unfortunately, still no progress...
If anyone can provide me a remote ssh access to his linux machine with 5xxx/6xxx GPU for tests, please PM.

Yes, I have a 5850 and 14.4 drivers, x11mod works just fine, just from some default settings and underclock gets me 1.07Mh/s. Accepted and all that.

Or not! I don't know why! I try to modify the XI and RI but I don't know how to change!
"Xintensity
rawintensity
The two values

Type sgminer --help>help.txt
--intensity|-I <arg> Intensity of GPU scanning (d or 8 -> 31,default: d to maintain desktop interactivity), overridden by --xintensity or --rawintensity.
--xintensity|-X <arg> Shader based intensity of GPU scanning (1 to 9999), overrides --intensity|-I, overridden by --rawintensity.
--rawintensity <arg> Raw intensity of GPU scanning (1 to 2147483647), overrides --intensity|-I and --xintensity|-X.

* Experimental `xintensity` setting (by _Kalroth_), see
  [commit message](https://github.com/veox/sgminer/commit/7aeae40af22e6108aab8b68a229eea25a639d650).
* Experimental `rawintensity` setting (by _Kalroth_), see
  [commit message](https://github.com/veox/sgminer/commit/d11df698d141988491494aa1f29c7d3595e9712b)

My bat for 7870 work fine  -k x11mod --gpu-powertune 10 --no-submit-stale --thread-concurrency 5120 -X 300
5120 here is 1280 cores x 4

2.73 actually.
Nothing out of the ordinary (except the clocks maybe as my pc is watercooled):

tc@8192
intensity@16
vectors@1
shaders@2048
lookup-gap@2
gpu-threads@2

290X @960/1300 -xintensity 444 -tc 20481 -g 2 -w 128
x13mod --- 3.15mhs

290 @970/1300 -xintensity 512 -tc 20481 -g 2 -w 128
x13mod --- 2.95mhs

somebody, share with *.bin-file from rig with 280x-cards, my mixed rig (3*280x+2*290) cann`t create *.bin-file for 280x/7970 with max.performance, my 280x pulls only 1,7mhs with stock generated *.bin-file  Cry

I was getting 1.5 before using the modified kernel. See OP. And use this:
"kernel" : "x13mod" (not x11mod)

Will post conf file later from home.

Actually something broke.
Just got home, and sgminer was reporting hashrates of 1Gh  Grin
Unfortunately it didn't translate into any share at the pool. No idea what happened there.

Just restarted it with slightly lower gpu clock speed.

EDIT: there were no HW errors whatsoever though. Very strange.

x13mod kernel is a no go at the moment for the VLIW cards, ie. 5xxx/6xxx series....

Memclock doesn't seem to add anything indeed... so I've reverted to 1500.
Core does. But there's just so much you can push it...
