how in the hell did u squeeze 4.2MH/s with your 280x? I have ASUS 280x and i can't get ti higher then 3.2MH/s @ x11 without GPU getting sick or any other crashes?

Xubuntu 13.10 AMD Catalyst version "updates_13.125-0ubuntu1_amd64" (January 2014) SPH-SGMiner (4.1.0) or SGMiner 5 (4.2.1) doesn't matter
R9 290 PowerColor OC x2
Scrypt: stable 905 kHs x2, 700 Watt E1020, M1500, P20, F90 ./cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.wafflepool.com:3333 -u USER -p X --thread-concurrency 32765 -g 1 -w 512 -I 20
X11: 3500 kHs x2, 380 Watt, SGMiner 5 (4.2.1) E1020, M1250, P20, F60 ./sgminer --algorithm darkcoin-mod -o stratum+tcp://eu.wafflepool.com:3331 -u USER -p X --thread-concurrency 32765 -g 2 -w 512 -I 22
Did anyone else experience no difference between M1250 and M1500 and between P0 and P20 for X11? 3500 kHs each is my limit.
I was advised to tone down my engine/memory settings a while back, so I took memory from 1500 back to 1250. Found myself saving almost 10% wattage and with virtually no loss of hashrate. I'm running stable now at 1010 engine speed and xintensity of 360, getting just over 5.4 mhash with my 290X's. Hurray! (I also cut powertune from 20 to 15 just to reduce stress on the system, and like you suggest it doesn't seem to matter. I'm using 24577 thread concurrency - don't ask me why, I just found it somewhere and it seems to be optimal for me.)

ok guys... (devs)
U HAVE FAILED !!
x11 should be 50% less noise and 50% less power. And what ?
My r9 290 is again hot (5.1 gh/s) and power consuming (about ~160W ? ). And I quess in a week there will be "new patch" and it will run ~6,5 GH/s and about 230W (what is max in scrypt) - sb just need to public his new .cl or amd new drivers optimised for miners x11.
So x11 is big BS if u ask me. Now very close to scrypt (would like to see if that 5 MH/s do not destroy my GPU faster than ~900 KH/s with scrypt)
sad day

devs are good - they optimized miner. do you think it is miracle that x11 was less hot and power consuming? no, just soft was not optimized. now all is on its place. by the way, x11 still less hot and power consuming then scrypt, so I think it can be optimized even more

What is preventing you from keeping your rigs at the lower hashrate and lower power consumption with the old version?

What is preventing you from keeping your rigs at the lower hashrate and lower power consumption with the old version? u rly asked that question ? ur nick should be "suchmoron" not "suchmoon" Why use x11 instead of scrypt if they will soon be the same (or x11 is more secure or sth ? Isnt that just a method ? ) r9 290 scrypt 900KH/s = 230W r9 290 x11 7GH/s = 230W (soon, when max optimised) so what is the point to use x11 ? It was better coz everyone with same GPU used less power than scrypt. Hashrate isnt important at all as long as its fair and now scrypt is more fair coz sb still can squezee more from x11.

DRK p2pool node 1 % fee http://ca.p2pool.sk:7903to connect your miner use -o stratum+tcp://ca.p2pool.sk:7903 -u <YOUR_DRK_WALLET_ADDRESS> -p whatever and thank you for the new sgminer, hitting 4.1 with my 280x

I guess you have many NV gpus..

Doing good so far Top > Bottom All Sapphire Dual-X cards 280x 3x R9 270s X11. Only pulling 535 Watts (Reading via Kill-A-Watt) Btw, When I was mining on Vert, I was pulling 890 Watts. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vx2xlfe4vkpzxjh/x11newkernel.jpg

Need help:
F-Secure keeps blocking and insisting on removal/quarantine of sgminer.exe coz it has been identified as a "generic trojan". I tried to close the antivirus window but everytime I try to run .bat it gets blocked again.
What to do?
