It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Yea I only have 3 active connections. Such a good coin with so much potential. I'll never understand why people prefer scam coins over honest ones.

The addnode has like 40 connections. My personal PC has about 20 (no addnodes). How long has your client been open with only 3?

Have noticed on the mmxiv rich list wallet MZ6oAFWNZZuDFQWKRiJPJjc5obC3iiJrag is holding 802 coins over 1/3 of the coins total supply, Don't think that its bittrex wallet as amount dose not change, can't be good that someone is hording so much, hopefully in the future the amount gets broken up,

My wallet has been open for about two days and I have 2 connections. I don't know how to improve this.

Close QT, open ports 11015 and 21015, then reload MMXIV-QT

Let me know if that helps

If you're on Windows, you can do it in Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Advanced Settings to set custom rules

I might have messed things up but now I can't get any connections to the network for the wallet.

I added the rules and restarted. Got no connections. Then I removed the rules and restarted and no improvement.

I've never messed with these rules before and you didn't provide enough information so I probably couldn't have done it right to begin with. Is it TCP or UDP? Are they both outbound rules or inbound or both?

Updated: The wallet was able to synch, I have a green checkmark, but 0 connections to network.

Don't they have network monitoring tools and alerts? Why wouldn't you use those?

Actually I'm almost certain that is one of the Bittrex wallets.  Exchanges wallets are funky, they are always moving coins in and out of several addresses, cold storage, etc.

That particular address may not have a lot of transactions but I'm guessing that's just one of many addresses Bittrex uses.  Check the rich list again in a few days, I bet you'll see a different address holding those 802 coins.

Multipool down for 24 hrs and now Bittrex volume is 0.00 for the past day.

That is disappointing.

I'm getting this message in my wallet:

WARNING: Checkpoint is too old.  Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers of the issue.

Seems stuck at block 14394 and I only have two connections in the wallet - do you have some addnodes?

I'm no marketing expert,  but a couple of possible reasons:
1. No mention of this in the OP of this thread. How many people may have seen your post? Did you start a new thread for this new promotion? There's only a handful of regular participants in this thread - do you expect us to buy all 100?
2. No instructions on how to enter.
3. No terms, No timeline. No mention of what happens if you don't get 100 entries.
4. No mention of how the drawing is to take place. The assumption is it's like the last one, but not everyone knows about the last one. And assumptions are bad.
5. No mention of how to acquire MMXIV coin if you don't already have some.

Frankly, without any of the additional details it either seems like a scam or seems like something that not everyone is allowed to participate in. We know it's not a scam, but newbies don't know this.

Personally, I plan to participate but I don't want ticket #1.

Added: Some additional reasons
6. The price might be a bit too high. I'm not saying it's not a fair price, but you are expecting to collect 10% of all outstanding MMXIV coin for this drawing.
