For those of us new to this, how do you find your private key?
In the qt client got to Help -> Debug Window Click on the console tab In the console type dumpprivkey <address> it will return your private key, copy both lines and send them to me with your new addy to be used in it's place (when you get it) The command is the same if you running the daemon. Send those in a PM, do not post them here or your coins will not be safe I am mining at iSpace multipool, I assume that this will also affect them? DO you know if they are aware of this? The pool switching is still mining there and creating coins. Also, as I said above, the wallet I downloaded is not synching, I assume this may be the cause of it? If not, what is the fix? Thanks Tom Put this in your conf file, and you should be able to sync. addnode=mmxiv.blockexplorer.cc addnode=pool.mmixvcoin.com

I transferred my coins to Bittrex yesterday over 12 hours ago and the deposit is still pending. Is it supposed to take this long? Also MMXIV paid me for the logo, thanks! But that payment is also still pending.
Also, I assume we will be told when to download the new qt client on here... but it is not available just yet?

Correct. I will also put significant hashrate on the original chain prior to the deadline, to ensure that all blocks move and all coins have made it there

New client will be ready shortly. Please make sure all your MMXIV is on Bittrex as soon as possible
You will have until the end of the weekend to make sure you coins are there, or you will miss the coin swap to the new, Proof of Stake, blockchain

Is this a hard deadline? Like, if you don't have your balance at Bittrex by Sunday you're out of luck?

Please answer - is this Sunday a hard deadline or will you be accepting other ways to verify MMXIV balances and trade in coins after Sunday.
The reason I ask is that I think it is a bit unfair to expect every single MMXIV owner to to trade in their coins with just a couple days notice.
What happens if only 1,000 coins are claimed? What happens to the remaining 1014 coins?

It's the hard deadline if you want it done easily. If you want to trade in after that, we will have to do it manually, which means you will need to give me private keys for the old chain so I can verify the balances

So what will happen to the unclaimed MMXIV?
Also why is the Linux wallet version v0.4.0ppc-6-g38d7b9d-beta while the Windows wallet is v1.0.0.0-unk-beta?

There are 2014 coins on the old chain and 2014 coins starting on the new chain. There are no extras

There are 2014 coins on the old chain and 2014 coins starting on the new chain. There are no extras I realize there are 2014 coins on both the old and new chain. That is not what I'm talking about. To trade in old MMXIV for new MMXIV, the coins must be on Bittrex by Sunday. It is highly unlikely that the entire supply of all 2014 MMXIV exists in Bittrex wallets right now, so there's going to be alot of extra new MMXIV leftover that doesn't get transferred to anyone. For those who did not get their coins to Bittrex by Sunday, those people have to contact you and provide their private key in order to get their coins. It is very likely that alot of people who have modest amounts of MMXIV are no longer paying attention to this thread, or just don't give a shit and won't bother trading in. Right now, you have all 2014 of the new MMXIV. To distribute all 2014 coins requires every single wallet holder to either transfer their coins to Bittrex by Sunday, or contact you sometime afterwards with their private key info so you can transfer manually to their new wallet. What I'm saying is, it's likely there will be alot of MMXIV leftover that is unclaimed. I wouldn't be surprised if it added up to 20% or more of the coin supply. What happens to this MMXIV?

I think everyone can agree that for every legitimate, honest coin there are two unscrupulous scamcoins. Just trying to keep visibility here so everyone knows that MMXIV is not one of the latter. Making public the address of the wallet that contains coins waiting to be claimed is important. There *will* end up being a significant number of unclaimed coins, and I think it's important that everyone can see where those coins are held and that they're not just being dumped on the exchanges.
