3061 block = 3061 coins
where are the other coins comming from?

I don't know what chain you are looking at, but MMXIV is at block 1281.

I just tryed to inform you. If a fresh compiled from source is wrong, or the sourcecode isn't up to date, this is most likely nothing good.

After checking again and restarting the daemon i see this:

"blocks" : 1289,
    "timeoffset" : 0,
    "connections" : 5,

So maybe this is just a clone from a clone again and i was connecting to the chain of the sourcecoin.

I rather exchange to bitcoin then buy some where else.

The price is low compared to the coin's intrinsic value it should have, this is the right time to accumulate some.
Buy what you can afford and then hold if you believe in it, or sell at the first bubble.
