To Windows User download mountcoin.org/download/win64.zip, 1.8 alias New York City

Yes. If you do change it at least multiply everyone's previous balance by 7.. I don't even think it is possible to change the block reward like this, the rest of the network won't accept you getting a reward of 15...

We tested it the 1.8 accepted 2.2 Coins and 1.7 accepted the new reward, but it's better that all User change to 1.8

Then what's to stop me from changing it to give me a reward of 1,000,000?

Why are you doing this? It is completely unfair for initial miners and will destroy any confidence in the coin.

Another cryptonote has launched today (duckcoin) and since cpu miner are a very small community (of big farm) except small guys like me, this is certainly what happened. Don't worry they will be back (and I'll move myself to duckdoin when the hashrate will have decreased
