[RPC0]Wrong address prefix: 18, expected 2
Addresses are wrong!!!!!!!!
cryptonote_config.h there is a #define for CRYPTONOTE_PUBLIC_ADDRESS_BASE58_PREFIX change from 2 to 18 I am running v2.0.2 with this patch and I can mine. I grepped the source tree for PREFIX and found it. obvious bug is obvious, but sleepy devs are sleepy. Now fix those checkpoints (take those from v1.x version, or remove the offending checkpoints), and you're good to go.

so mountcoin dev is just a 15 years old kid. He is a clever kid i might say.But he needs a bit of work to make a simple pump and dump coin. His coins just died yesterday.
Thats a nice lesson for anyone wasting time, electricity, effort and money in retarded clones. They never are more than a shitcoin. it is just the hopes of the noobs that their coin will ever spike and that they will be there to sell...Invest your time, resources and money in something that is good indeed. Stop thinking that you missed the chance just because a coin already went up buy 10x. If it is good it will go another 10x and you will have supported a coin that worths the effort.
For presidentcoin, i have to say a friendly warning. You arent ready to make a coin that work. You are clever but you are still a kid. You just exposed your name, facebook, twitter, photos of your family everywhere on the internet. Hell we can see you neighberhood in those photos... Imagine what would happen if any of your fail coins ever reached an exchange and someone loses enough money because of you...

What you mean What that coin is dying! You something going to do! The pools are not working!Hash down!Complexity down! There is a problem with the Blockchain at Height 22400,we work with the CryptoNote Team together to fix it. It's normal that the Diff and Hashrate is going down, because we said to Stop mining until we fixed it. Or do you want a broken Blockchain?

any update?
You know, when they first announced this thread, and I was on board from the beginning - I thought that this would be a serious coin. The issues amount to more like climbing a damn mountain than anything else, so I guess the name is appropriate. Seriously, I don't know ANY other coin that has had this much patience from miners/pools and not already died. It has no exchange. No working blockchain. No updates. No value. If there is no update by tonight - and by update I mean exchange, working wallet/daemon. I'm deleting my mountcoin, and editing every post I have made in this thread to tell people to leave this coin well alone. Should have listened.

...editing every post I have made in this thread to tell people to leave this coin well alone. I agree with everything but this point. If you want to leave that's your prerogative, but why edit your history to encourage other people to leave? ..on a side note. I much prefer forums that don't allow users to go back and edit their old posts. As in life, what's said is said. You shouldn't be allowed to go back and change it.

On an other matter if the coin dev keeps deleting his (rather her) repo and any previous commit, the bug will never get solved (moving to github would be good I think...) as I am pretty sure the bug was solved in some of the numerous releases...

I was there from the start. The earliest threads in the original post. My pool was (for some reason) added to the core codebase, as a SeedNode as I was one of the first to get the client working. Now since the latest changes, the wallet I have, that has been here since the start - through all the issues, is no longer having a valid mountcoin address. Thus far, I have seen nothing but failure after failure from this coin. Even shitcoins either die or fix their issues... this one keeps ongoing .

I don't like it to say, but the Blockchain is to much broken to fix
So, MountCoin is dying.
But we have learned many stuff, and it was a great and funny time
Because we have learned many stuff about CryptoNote, we want to build a new Coin. It would have similar Specs and our Up and Down system
The name for our new Coin would be Quantumcoin or Horizoncoin
