Can't you just change the minimum version number or port or such to make them not listen to old nodes?

No there would be a Hard Fork, and if I change the Port it still connect to the old Nodes.

I tried to launch.. but I need source ..

vs 2.0 keeps getting a core dump I am unable to keep daemon up

You maby have a problem with your Server.
We just dowloaded it from our Servers and it work fine on 5PC's
