The people buying MYR now are probably the ones that had their high sell orders filled by proxy.  The hacker is probably a supporter of both MYR and DRK.

It was MYC not MYR

Oops.. corrected.

What's the difference security wise between a very strong password, and a very strong password + google auth 2fa?

To get past the strong password you'd basically need a keylogger, and if you have that, then you'd also get the google password?

2fa is not a one time password.  it uses a key that changes roughly every 10 seconds.  so they would have to guess your very very long password and then also they would have to guess at precisely the right time the correct code to enter to bypass the 2fa auth.

Its like having 2 locks on your front door.  one has a key for the main lock it unlocks it everytime.  the other lock needs a new key every 10 seconds.  every 10 seconds the lock is switched and u are given a new key.

jsut enable it bro dont be an idiot.

Just googled the google authenticator, and I thought it's just the google account's password you need to type in addition to exchange password, but I thought wrong and apparently it sends the code to a phone instead. I just suspect I'm far more likely to lose/brick my phone than install a keylogger without me knowing, so my funds are actually safer without the 2fa. Smiley

Use Authy, you can have your codes restore if you lose your phone.

this release should seed on its own, if not you can use the addnode

also you can rename peers.dat to peers.old, in %appdata%\XCurreny, then launch client

I get a connection
send version message: version 71030, blocks=0, us=95.91.241.176:32348, them=198.199.104.70:32348, peer=198.199.104.70:32348
socket closed

Then it disconnects

disconnecting node 198.199.104.70:32348

and tries next. Why ever. I never had that on a wallet.

trying connection 87.254.90.34:32348 lastseen=1.1hrs
connection timeout
trying connection 92.39.189.50:32348 lastseen=1.0hrs

It took about 15 minutes to get a connection on the new wallet but now I've got 7 connections, try these nodes:

addnode=121.211.75.223
addnode=192.99.167.170
addnode=96.51.5.253
addnode=96.31.71.72
addnode=107.170.170.56
addnode=68.62.210.229
addnode=176.215.0.66

ok this may be a really noob question..... where or how do you add those ?

Thanks guys please help...

In the xcurrency.conf file where your wallet.dat is located. If one is not there, create one.

Any possibility in making the files "easy" to execute for users who are not tech savvy?
