I would strongly suggest to shift the focus in this thread to our own goals instead of being preoccupied with the fate of a crypto currency that claims to have similar features to the XC infrastructure.
I think that would be a good direction to go to but I'm happy that the discussions about other coins seems to be more healthy then full of name calling and anger. Exactly, seeing as DRK seems to think its perfect and we have been put under the microscope, see how they like it when a few questions are asked in the other direction... Not a lot it seems... |

Does the Linux qt wallet compile properly from the new Git hub source code? I think its very normal for prices to go up and down on an experimental new coin, honestly anyone looking to make a quick buck on this has the wrong mindset. Im happy for the price to drop to half the current price without getting all worried, after all most of us are looking at the long term value 6 months and a year from now and trying to take part in the XC community, rather than just looking for a quick profit. I gaurantee the sell pressure is coming from greedy people who are too immature to wait out the swings. I bought most of my coins at 20-30k sat so I am safe even with a drop to 50k  |

That said, the discussions seem "relatively" more healthy so overall things seems good on both sides (+ I bought more darks at 0.012 and bought my first xc at 0.0014 one hour ago so quite happy with my choices so far ^^) |

Agree, a few reminders for them that masternode's currently don't work as they seem to be forgetting that.. If they fail or there is another huge attack on the network in the next implementation, then that coin is going to plunge like a stone... The good news there is now well and truly priced in...
As the dust settles you can see reality coming back XC is a great competitor to DRK and they are scared.
Masternodes do work, it's the reward for running one that does not ... c'mon get your facts Ah that's ok then, ill put 1000 DRK up there to be stolen (as has already happened) for zero reward... Great system that. Nothing to worry about at all there. the 1000DRK was stolen from a masternode due to poor security on the user end this was confirmed with the user over a skype... again facts dude So my facts are correct A user had 1000 DRK stolen - correct Masternodes are not working as you have confirmed - correct Let me put it this way, if a garage said, your car works but you can't change gear - would you think - fine - thats OK - most of it works.. Thats DRK at the moment. Masternodes are operational for months. They aren't getting paid yet. That's the extent of the problem. why they haven't paid as you said for months? the devs hold into their coins or the code just broken? |

I just want to see anon crypto. I support DRK and XC both in this pursuit.
It is our shared goal.
I must say tho that the term "master node" stuck in my throat at first and I didnt like the concept of such a hierarchical system. Clearly XC is employing pooling nodes too, altho they seem a little more discreet.

No this is incorrect. Maternodes perform the coin mixing for DarkSend. The payments are a bonus and incentive to run a masternode If you are not going to be getting paid to do it (as it costs money to run one) why on earth would you run one and put your DRK at risk... They do not work as per design... If the rollout on the 14th June (I think) fails... DRK will be the biggest car crash in history. |
