The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

however we have been working with the VRC developers and all major exchanges to hard fork the coin at a position before the attack. This will allow us to retrieve the stolen coins and facilitate all withdrawals. We are also working with various exchanges to accommodate any losses they may encouter as a result of the required fork.

Can they really do that?

Yup and they did.
I saw a suggestion here (and is is pure speculation and may not be true)...https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=692757.20   that MP may have been keeping a lot of VRC in the hotwallet in order to stake them.

Is that a possibility, and is would that be a possibility with XC as well?

Why it says this address is not a x11 ?

ForReal, you are on mainnet, Dan posted his testnet address. You have to run the client in testnet. There is a batch file in the latest release, run it and try again.

Evolution, I'm for freedom of speech but please don't personally attack other members home countries or just don't post anything even remotely racist. Thanks

Would you please explain me the relation between XC coin and the soccer game?
If not, what other expectations did you have for my reaction (actually the reaction of the whole planet, except some germs)?

Update: Am I a racist just because I cannot stand racism?
I don't think you belong in this crypto game because you lack a modicum of logic. What you said was inappropriate and embarassing in an official discussion thread. I was debating on reporting you and i'm neither a fan of Germany nor overly sensitive.

I seem to have this issue with the latest wallet where it seems to keep hanging with the the blockchain download. It's resolved by restarting the wallet, until it happens again.

it is P2P, so this will happen, if you let it run it will download

Must have been a bad user node I kept connecting too then. Anyway, I got it sorted out as it did complete, and managed to move off all of my XC from MP. Even bought some extra XC because it was moving out of the exchange quicker than BTC. Lesson learned and my coins will just stake and support the network. Smiley

I don't care about your opinion. And why should I? What is your modicum of contribution to the human society? Lem me give you a hint - none!

Update: btw, who are you to preach my placement in the crypto world (obviously (at least for you) it is just a game, but I am a believer)? Don't you have any pets around you to play with (wife, children, dogs)?

I am going to leave this here - It's clear I am being engaged by a someone of roughly schoolboy age, defending the accusation of being illogical with an adhominem attack. I like a challenge, this isn't one.

Could someone make a complete noob tutorial for making your XC completely 100% safe. Teka you mention you have yours stored very safely what did you do?

Thanks :-)
We made one on the website: http://www.xc-official.com/wallet/

Of particular relevance are encrypting your app, backing up your wallet.dat file, and backing up your private keys.

Let us know if you have any questions, but the how-to should pretty much sort you out.
I clicked on the middle link here and extracted it....wallet is syncing it seems

http://downloads.xc-official.com/release/windows/

Should I start all over again and follow the steps you linked to?

Take it out in Pms if you have to

Based on the feedback you've received so far, (from the investors/testers), are you able to deduce how many days, weeks or months more will be needed for continued "Testing" for REV2?

(This is a simple question. unwarranted responses are not wanted).
