First time poster in this thread and on this forum.  Just wanted to say hi.  I have been accumulating small amounts of XC over the past few weeks and am excited about today.

I am relatively new to crypto after missing the opportunity to invest in bitcoin a few years ago.  In the past year or so I have been researching alternative currencies for the ONE currency which has the potential to surpass bitcoin.  I don't believe any coin, EXCEPT XC offers this potential at present.

XC offers the ability to privately transact, something obviously bitcoin cannot do without 3rd party mixers.  Some coins offer this but because of their names and connotations will never be accepted by regular vendors, XC will. It processes regular transactions, but offers at a small fee the opportunity for private trustless transactions.  Offering both types of transactions will be essential for mainstream corporate adoption.  Most of the time I probably won't use the privacy function but it is nice to have the option.  Being able to fit in with mainstream also means that regulators will find it hard to justify regulating against it later.

What attracted me initially to the coins was the code of behavior it has for its members (see OP).  It communicates a level of professionalism and confidence, not really seen elsewhere. It made me look further into the coin.

What made look even further into the coin was the long term strategic vision, around not only building a privacy platform but providing everyday products that people can use, online private chat, mobile phone wallets, NFC transactions etc.  This is a coin that is serious about getting ready for the 21st century, true online commerce without boundaries.  

What eventually got me to buy the coin was that the developers were actually delivering against their milestones.  Not in a shotgun (public pressure) fashion, but in a carefully considered and strategic manner.  Making sure the fundamentals were in place first, everything was working, before releasing the next stage.  Very very careful and professional.  Full credit to the development team.

After my initial purchase what made me invest even more into the coins was when I started receiving coins for staking.  Its not much 3.3%pa but its better and safer than many bxxks and more flexible / portable.  You get the opportunity to earn capital gains on the coins while they are working for interest, a rare combination.  As the value of these coins increases, previously purchased coins increase exponentially in their return.  Now we have also have the opportunity to earn from mixers as well as shortly in future for delivering content over the platform.  Great for owners of this coin.

I have also been impressed with the professionalism of the communications and how it has been handled to avoid pumping and dumping.  It presents its product in the best possible light but honestly, and also handles FUD constructively and maturely. Most XC holders I believe are long term holders, a little more perceptive and loyal than the average crypto punter.  It is this community that has gained my long term commitment.

I will continue to hold while the developers continue to stick with the game plan and while the product continues to be high quality.  This is the perfect coin for me at this point in time.

Think we are all just waiting for the Monday morning sell off that has been happening every week.
After that we will see how well the mixing nodes work...

I don't know if this has been posted yet but Cryptsy at some point since my last posting on the topic has finally changed their Tick to XCurrency from X11coin...

I think that is pretty cool considering some of the headaches some of us have had...

This coin reminds me of one stock that I buy few years ago ....long story short...it didn't move for 3 years despite good news. I hope that same will not happen here

Todays the day I think / hope we cement ourselves as a top 15 coin and start moving towards where we should be which is top 5..

You wont find a more professional outfit out there... People will always chase P+D's but XC is a serious offering for people taking a long term view.. Which in crypto means weeks and months not hours...

The comms are first class and like you say, I think the style with which they are delivered is just right.
